That series :<

I remember showing it to my ex because IT'S SO SWEET and all he could say was "this reminds me of the LGBT movement" and promptly didn't like it because he's a homophobic asshole. Ugh.

I am a huge sucker for "love against the odds" scenarios since it hits home for me quite a bit, haha.

It's good to see there are others out there that have seen it. C': Whenever I'm feeling down, I watch this and instantly it feels like everything is going to get better. I remember the first time I watched it, the tears didn't stop for a good long while. Whenever I can find beautiful things like this I'm reminded that there's still hope out there, and that other people want to remind us that it exists.

Dunno if this has been posted in here before, but I don't much care to depress myself with too much stuff in this thread to find out...

1:18... just...

If you can't feel anything from this video... I don't know what to say... Especially with this music...

I'm not sure if any of you would remember, since I've never been a big member in the two years I've been lurking, but roughly a year ago my stepdad was in a motorcycle accident. I took over his job for a few weeks while he was incapacitated, but then I had to go to college in New York. Over the year, he started improving, but there were persisting pains. They found a bulging disc that they somehow missed before, and six months later they looked at his knee like he'd been asking for and found that his kneecap was gone. I've been back from college for two months, and have been working with him again, but a few weeks ago his knee gave out and he fell, jarring his spine and putting him back to where he was a year ago.

When I was out working with my mom on a job, we had to go home because he thought he was having a heart attack, and at the hospital they said he had sleep apnea caused by the injuries, and it was wearing down his heart. He's basically unable to ever really sleep for more than a few hours, and in the morning he can't move for a bit. He isn't insured, so if something happens to him, the family is screwed, and they're unable to settle with the lady who caused the accident's insurance, because they're saying he should be recovered by now and doesn't need the cheddar, when he's only getting worse. He can't keep working maintenance in his condition, but there's no other choice. I don't see how, financially, we're going to make it. I'm supposed to go back to New York and continue college in a few weeks, and I'm not sure if I should stay and try to make enough cheddar in some job or other to let him retire.

I know this is irrelevant and not that important in the grand scheme of things, but I wanted to vent I guess. I dunno.

I'm funny, I'm chill, I don't rat people out, I like to have fun, I like to go out, I'm responsible enough on my own, I atleast have a personality, I am really really good at first impressions, I played sports, I'm in theatre, I have stuff to talk about, hell, I even have a girlfriend.

Why do I not have any real friends

What is your criteria on "friend"

Because sometimes you have a different perspective on what being a friend means than the people who are trying to be your friends
