Im four days in and havent found one



But in other news, I have made a straight tunnel down from my house all the way to the Hell layer. Took about a day to do, but I did it. Got platforms every few spaces to get up and down. All the way from about 400 ft above sea level to about 2400 ft below


I have gold armor and weapons, so where do I go next? The corruption? Or should I battle Cthulhu or what?

Wiki says you get a gun the first time you break a shadow orb, which is generally found in the corruption. I'm sitting tight in my reasonably fortified (if a bit cheap) fortress, just running around during the day looking for ores to make decent armor before I actually brave the corruption.

Your going to have to find a deep cave if you want to find any good minerals.

Im trying to gather demonite ore to make a pick strong enough to break the ebonstone surrounding the shadow orbs.

I got 10 bars so far so Im getting close

I just used Dynamite
pretty expensive method though, 50 silver a piece

So, after running through some old worlds, collecting the valuables to move them into a new, better world, I came across the Above Jungle. So, I jumped through that a bit, then found a mountain in there. Scaled the mountain, found a Floating Island. Got a starfury. Sold it.

or you can just get a dryad, buy some purifying powder to make the ebstone into regular stone

That's what I'm doing, once I figure out how far the powder spreads.

I am not gonna lie. full Iron armor with just a silver helmet looks awful.

Got the demonite pick.

Also got some guns, a ball o' pain, flippers, feral claws, Vilethorn, I accidentally sold my enchanted boomerang, and I beat Cthulhu.

It was quite easy with my ball o' pain. I also used some throwing knives on it.

I also got a meteor to fall (terraria wiki says for each shadow orb destroyed, there is a 50% chance of a meteor falling. I destroyed 5 shadow orbs and only got one meteor :I )

I made a phase blade with the meteorite and I have enough to probably make one more thing but I havent decided what to make yet.

Sometimes the delay for a meteor is quite a while. Also ball and chain weapons are the best in the game vs bosses so I'd head to the dungeon and try and get a blue moon as soon as you're ready for Skeletron

But arent you supposed to beat Skeletron to get into the dungeon?
