The Legend of Zelda consists of several games that have been basically remade over and over again, with only a few minor differences. The synopsis of the every game in the series is basically a guy in tights and a skirt is minding his own business when an event caused by a unrealistic villain throws him into a completely linear adventure consisting of unchallenging dungeons in where you enter, defeat a mini boss, get an item, solve a puzzle, and then defeat the boss. After repeating the process around 7 times, you finally get to the final boss and save the princess.

(Seriously folks, I'm probably one of the biggest Zelda geeks out there. That doesn't mean I can't point out its flaws.)
