FUCK THAT MISSION
"You have killed Natalya" BUT I HAD TO USE THE ROCKET LANCHER.

Dead Space is starting to make me use the Willing Suspension of Disbelief too much and quit trying to apply logic to video game plots.

I'm confused, what part of Dead Space's plot isn't laid out in front of you.

As for the topic, I guess it would have to be CoD games, lately anyway. Me and my friends still enjoy World at War, even though it's missing all the good connectivity and has DLC maps nobody owns in rotation. But the newer ones just represent to me the laziest design philosophy. It's hard to look at gaming and think, "This is what it's become." When other developers want "CoD's audience" they foolishly rip out everything that made that original IP interesting, for the sake of getting the people that buy one or two games a year for their console. Problem is, those people already know they're gonna buy the next CoD. You've doomed your sales because, they don't want your game.

Goldeneye (N64) and the Toy Story video game are probably the only movie franchise video games I wasn't sorely disappointed in.

I generally won't buy movie franchise games anymore.

The best movie franchise game clearly is Austin Powers: Mojo Racing

Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay seems to have been pretty good.

On-topic, another game that made me want to stop gaming was Soul Calibur 3. What the fuck was Namco thinking when they designed that cheating bullshit?

What the fuck IS the Marker?
Where did they get the language template to build the first red one?
How does the Necromorph virus work?
How the hell did the Valor fall to one slasher?
How the hell did Unitology get so big?
How the hell did their government and society get so fucked up?
Why did the Ishimura go to Aegis VII in the first place? Aren't there other resource rich planets?
What caused the Kellion to explode?
Why the fuck does the space military fail so hard at fighting anything?
And so on and so forth.

Clearly, because one dense mainstream game about jump scares has a bad plot, all videogame narratives make little to no sense and are entirely dismissable.

The AI reads your controller, and doesn't care whether or not you have a perfect setup. It WILL guard break you.

Call of Duty went bad after World at War, Black ops was boring, but the zombies mode was a fresh breath of air...before Call of the dead.

It was an excuse to see what could be done with the DualShock analogs.

Frankly Ape Escape kinda stole their thunder years earlier
