Yep, that's the Nether in one of my servers.

Someone transplanted a SINGULAR MUSHROOM into the Nether, and now they're growing everywhere. They're inside my house somehow.

Mushrooms should be the new mobs. Stationary mobs. That you can eat.

Of course, I have a (relatively small) unlit cave beneath one of my bases and... the mushrooms hardly grow. I did find a couple areas with a bunch of brown mushrooms, though. Never have as much luck with red ones.

An interesting spin on this would be Pocketmon Trainer enters cave, sees items all over the floor, tries to pick one up, THEY'RE ALL FOONGUS ATTAAAACK

Why is that the second time I had an idea that crossed Minecraft and Pokemonsters...
