DRY SOCKET. I guess it's not as serious as I thought it would be, the dentist didn't say it was a big deal. He pulled the stitch out of one of the holes and jammed-

Let me stop there, because I cannot stress how appropriate the word "jammed" is in this context. He grabbed a piece of gauze and JAMMED it into the open wound. The gauze is covered in clove oil which I guess is supposed to stimulate healing. All I know is that half my tongue is numb from trying to touch it and it tastes awful. My breath smells like I've been chewing herbs all day.
