There's no payment at all involved for the channel. It's a national channel for all, even if a TV would have no other channels, that one would likely be on it. Local news, local shows for children, local exploration shows, most things Icelandic are on it.
I'm beginning to think that the symbol changes colour after how much blood is in the tv show / film, not whether there's porn or not.
