Okay, but there's also something Cracked realized. Zombies, in order to reproduce or feed, must go toe-to-toe with their number one predator AND food source every time. And unlike most predators, we don't jive with the close combat sort of thing if we can help it. Try biting when the person is wielding a rifle and running at the same time. You know, running, the sort of thing a healthy body can do.

Also no one has mentioned the Center for Disease Control. They'd have an outbreak locked down and neutralized before you could say burn and salt.

I think we can all agree that a couple Hydrogen Bombs are the best way to deal with an outbreak.

Yes, that was the entire point of the discussion we were having actually. This is exactly why(among a multitude of other reasons ofc) trained military forces are preferable to a rag-tag band of heroes, because they are smart enough to know tactics.

Places with subzero temperatures. They will freeze since nothing heats them from the inside.

No matter what World War Z says, I'm pretty sure zombies would die in the cold. But I still wouldn't go north. Too many other people would go there.

Speaking of World War Z, I found out recently that Max Brooks is Mel Brooks' son.

Heat would be the enemy. Hasten the decay and blow them up from the inside out.

Tropical conditions would be ideal: heat and humidity speed up decay, as Madican said. In a jungle, there also might be hazards that hinder the zombies, such as crocodiles or what have you. As for subzero temperatures, I don't know about zombies not being able to heat themselves up, that would mean they could only move during the day really, but that's up for discussion I guess. They wouldn't be as able to protect themselves as humans though, although their endurance might make up for that a bit.

I guess if you can provide appropriate shelter for yourself, the more hazardous an environment is the better, since what's bad for you is probably bad for the zombies as well.

Subzero isn't about zombies not moving, it's that freezer burn does horrible things to the body. A cell, a nice juicy cell, getting frozen and then thawing, frozen then thawing, frozen then thawing. Keeping in mind that ice has more volume than the water it melts into, meaning it destroys the cell from within. Part of the problem of cryogenics.
