I love the two class leaders in the middle, the left one's moustache is fantastic, and the right one looks incredibly creepy.

just caught this now, riveted, am now regular reader...

what? thoughts? okay, i kinda think it has the same weird thing going on as The Meek comic- the art is...i guess i wouldn't say comical, but for lack of a better word- "innocent". the characters are given to full-mouthed "webcomic grins" and their eyes are wide and cute. i'm not saying that it's bad, it's really interesting, and i'm absolutely digging seeing katie work in another genre...but i guess it's just not how i imagine classical fantasy.



the writing so far is intriguing, and it kinda reminds me of an old sci-fi i read once...i think it was called Medium. the idea was that this dude built a machine that let you talk to dead relatives, and by the end of the book people were taking advantage of the weakened barrier to play "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" with each other. no real closure, i remember wanting to punch the author. AIKONIA has almost a lovecraftian smack to it though, giant powerful creatures from another realm...doomsday looming, ancient powers. that kind of thing. i'm digging it.

incidentally, i tried to get to the dev blog linked earlier in this thread, didn't work. what's up with that?

I'm glad you're enjoying the comic, and yes, Katie's style is certainly unique. It doesn't usually go along with this genre, but I thought it would be an interesting contrast.

Not that wizardry isn't cool and all, but I am a bit curious.

Probably toward the end of the comic if we even see them at all. I suspect that they just represent the classes you can play as in-game.
