Oh, no doubt. You cannot deny that 4chan, love it or hate it, has a substantial amount of people at its disposal willing to do anything. I mean, just look at the numbers. Moot has about 1.3 million votes already. I'm not concerned about whether or not he'll win, I'm concerned about whether or not they will acknowledge his victory.
Do you think they would actually do that? They were willing to do an article on Rain, who is more or less just an immensely popular Korean pop artist who does a little charity work; moot, in a sense,
has been quite influential. I don't think the internet would be the same without 4chan. Even if people don't know about the site, a lot know of some of the memes, or "funny caption photos", and a fair amount of people are into the same things 4chan is known for like shota and lolicon.
I'm starting to wonder if this might have serious negative repercussions. I don't know how many mainstream media outlets know about 4chan. They might claim See! The internet is full of upstanding member of society weeaboo pedos with over 9000 penises who want to rape our children and WE MUST DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
Actually, that might be worth it if Fox did a story on 4chan. The possibilities~
