Haha...

I own 4 cats (one adopted from VAP, my shelter, and the others were strays,) and we've had a total of....somewhere around 20-25 fosters so far. Of course all but our current one got adopted but at one time we have 18 cats in our house at once x:

I'm in the process of creating a blog-type thing about them with photos of pasts and presents but I guess if you wanna see them you can look on my youtube channel for videos of a few and these two photobucket albums for more photos than you could ever want. My photobucket is really disorganized so beware haha.

The two big brown Maine Coon mixes, the gray tuxedo and the big fat cow cat are my personal cats.

My nan passed away this morning. Unfortunately we've been expecting this for a while now, as her health had just been rapidly deteriorating and she'd been diagnosed with all sorts of problems, the worst of which being terminal cancer. It was my uncle's wedding a few weeks ago and we weren't sure if she was going to make it, and though I'm not religious I found myself praying that she'd live at least long enough to see her youngest son wedded off. Due to my being at university for the past 6 months I hadn't seen her for a while, so seeing the state she was in was a bit of a shock for me. She looked so pale and she'd lost a lot of weight, and she had to wear an oxygen mask, which I found a little distressing to see. She had so much trouble moving by herself that it took the best part of 10 minutes for two of my relatives just to get her out of her wheelchair and into the car, but even then we had a near miss at one point as she almost fell out. And yet despite all this she was doing her best to fight her sickness just to be there for her son at his wedding. So while I am upset about losing her, I'm grateful she was able to hold on to life for as long as she did.

Chloe I'm very sorry for your loss. Oh man I remember when my grandma was in that state. Alzheimers, renal failure, weighed about 60 pounds, the works. It's a sad thing to see someone dying in front of you, even when it's the case that you haven't seen them in a good while. Take comfort that she's doin just fine now, dear. And she loved you, and you loved her, and she knew it. That's the most important thing.

Also I don't care if this is a repost or something doesn't really matter to me. I don't often cry.

Aw, man. Got a text from a bud of mine this morning saying there was like, an 8.8 earthquake in Japan. (No he doesn't live there) He also said there were like, 20 foot tsumanis. I Just Googled it and there are tsumani alerts.

It's Haiti all over again, except its like....+1.8

Oh, shit. This is worse than Haiti. I might actually see what I can do to help.

inb4 Michelle Obama.

You know what, I might even help her. Even though she was way too dramatic about Haiti

No it isn't. Japan was prepared and weathered it extremely well. Yes the magnitude of the quake was worse than Haiti, but that is rarely why there's destruction. The key lies in how well structures can withstand the quake. Japan, like California, has earthquakes very often, so they design their buildings with that in mind.

Haiti, Chile, New Zealand do not. That's why even though their magnitudes were much lower, the death toll was still very high.

Two days ago, a dear friend of my family's passed from pancreatic cancer. We all knew this was coming, they never beat around the bush when it comes to this kind of cancer, you know you're dying and you know it's soon. She was so close to all of us, and I regretted when her and her husband moved away. We tried to keep in touch as much as possible, and we went to see her a while before she passed. You fought so hard through it all, Auntie. I'll really miss you, with all my heart. I'm pop flyin' you went peacefully though, with Uncle and your son close by and loving you until the last minute. Now you can rest in peace and never have to feel the pain again...Maybe one day I'll be able to see you again, and we can catch up and enjoy time together again....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EF_NtwgvHk&feature=related Goodbye, Auntie... (Not me singing, just a song in honor of her.)

At first I thought it was just gibberish then I quickly realized he was talking about whats going on in Japan with the earthquake and what not.
