And I believe they were right below the throne room. I think I took a screenshot of the occasion but I can't find it.

Maybe there are pretty pictures of trees on the wall.

Maybe the evil doom king really likes trees.

Also, made Colm an assasin, people can't hit him then he crits them with the Killing Edge.

I always have Colm turn into a rogue so I don't have to worry about keys and lockpicks. I leave the critical hits to Joshua.

I have Joshua and Marissa in my team aswell.

I really love fast classes, really hate General's. (Apart from Wendy in FE6, she was very fast for a General)

I think that General is the only class that I've never used regularly.

In fact, in some games I've never even had Gilliam change class, because I almost never use him. I really hate slow fighters. Heavy Knights like Duessel--and in my games, Kyle too--get some use but are ultimately put aside in favor of Paladins, Pegasus Knight, and the Dragon classes. My favorite mounted class probably are the dragons, despite their weakness to arrows and magic.

Anyway, yeah. Generals get put aside. I tend to favor magic users, archers, and flyers anyway.

I actually LIKE using heavy classes that absorb all damage. All of my love for using archers to kill everything while the armor classes take damage.

Also. I've never played Path of Radiance because I can't find a buggering copy at any store. I'm assuming it must be great, if this is the case.

I've played and beat all the Fire Emblem games(Including Thracia 776, which is arguably the hardest game in the series for good reasons and the newest Fire Emblem game on one of the hardest difficulties) except for the first and second one(Which are for the NES).

Generals are my favourite class. I just love being able to send them out in the middle of the map and have them escape pretty much unharmed. : D

...Of course, I usually only do that if I really need to, since I like my units to all be at similar levels so I'm picky about who gets the EXP. :T Although there was a point in Shadow Dragon where I couldn't be arsed to sit through swarms and swarms of enemies appearing out of nowhere, so I just used one of those teleport staff things (which there seemed to be a lot of) and sent Draug over to wherever the boss was and got him to take them out so the reinforcements wouldn't keep appearing. In that game I didn't really need to worry about who got EXP that much since I'd taken up arena spamming. On one chapter it took me over 200 turns to complete it since I was so busy doing that. :pseudo:

>Recruit new guy
>Find arena

That was pretty much the best play session ever.

And on the subject of sending in one or two units to kill everyone, I had Ross in Sacred Stones leveled up like crazy and upgraded to the class where you can use axes and bows. Had him train another recruit (forget her name, but she was a really fresh recruit for the enemy?) to similar levels, and never used another unit again. Except for the one mage dude, he was pretty useful.
Then the battery died :[

You just described the statistically best three characters in the whole game. Franz and Joshua are pretty close, along with a few of the magic users.

aw yeeeeah, my subconscious is great at Fire Emblem.

EDIT: Although really, in the cases of Ross and Amelia, I was mostly following the Pokemon rule that raising something from the lowest level possible is the best way to go.

That is an incredibly accurate link between pokemon and fire emblem. People you get at lower levels tend to have much better stats, than, say, people you get already promoted.

I never used the Paladins that you start off with.
They took the challenge out of the game and took valuable experience away from the lower leveled units.

And like you just said they usually sucked compared to units you raised from lower levels.

So I'm getting back into Shadow Dragon, any tips for which units I should level up?
I've been working on Darros for a while, but he died and I had to restart the mission, wasting hours of arena training.
