Cafall, Trennicus, and Defenestrator2.0 are awesome because they were the first to mention LFG, LICD, or OoTS. The rest of you are awesome for reading so many comics. I'm thinking of starting my own comic stuffs, but it might be a while before I can actually post it...and they are much like the comics here, but not related to WoW or anything. They're mostly related to my story and Zelda and any other thing that happened in my life/my friend's lives.

So long story short, I'm asking you deviants out there if you're watching any comic artist who would be a worthy adversary for me to pit my skills against, somebody who can inspire me and give me something to measure my own artistic development against.

Any ideas?

This seemed like a good place to post this.

I know there's a load of links to comics and stuff already in this thread, I just thought I'd ask you guys and gals if you can think of any specific comic artists who would be a good match for the kind of stuff I do.

Thoughts?

I guess Not Enough BBQ might be sort of what you're looking for. The art style changes a lot at first, though.
I just know it's my favorite (remotely) video game related webcomic right now. And it's updated regularly.

And then there's always Brawl in the Family, in case you don't know that one yet.

I guess not, but I'd prefer stuff with video game characters in because it's something I can relate to.

I don't like Penny Arcade because it's about those two random guys' opinions on video games - I'm more interested about what the video game characters themselves can get up to.

Yeah, I gotta start watching BitF regularly - that's still good stuff.

Not sure about NEBBQ.

I always thought the lesson was to never compare yourself to others if you want to grow as an artist...

haha this coming from a person who's basically given up drawing for anyone but herself because it sucks compared to everything else~
