My dorm room has an oven, stove, microwave, and full fridge/freezer.

That's good to hear. The university my sister goes to was that first year students got dorms with no cooking appliances greater than a microwave.

Falconer, how does the dorm system work there then? Over here, we can pick from a myriad of dorms, both uni-sponsored, owned by the uni but unsponsored(to be eligible for a sponsored one your family income must be below a certain amount or something) and private dorms. All of them have to be approved by the uni though and have to meet strict requirements. I think a stove and an oven are a minimum.

My old dorms didn't come with anything but a heater, a bed, a desk, and a closet. There wasn't even a communal cooking area.

I think there's one now though.
