The platform jumping bit? That's not too hard. I originally had that soul sand stuff for platforms. Except you sink a tiny bit in it so if you weren't standing in the absolute center of the block you were on fire and standing in lava.

You could have said THAT was the problem. I know the problem. You place a lit torch near the TNT, activating the TNT. The torch needs to be OFF, then place the TNT next to it. Pushing the button turns the torch on, which activates the TNT, which drops the cart.

Also if there is an active redstone wire running next to the TNT it will set it off.
