The comments make me sick. "Duh, Japanese military killed millions of Chinese civillians. So it's perfectly fine that America dropped bombs on them, killing millions of Japanese civillians, destroying large parts of the city, and giving everyone yet to be born in the next decades a high chance of cancer and body deformations."

That's mostly why I was so upset.

I can't believe people can be so disgusting. But then they probably got all their education from war themed video games or some shit.

It's still not the civilians' fault though. And if at some point, the only way to end a war is to kill civillians or destroy a city, there should be as little casualties as possible, not OH LET'S JUST GO WIPE A COUNTRY OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH.

Also on this whole war subject, America wanted the war finished quickly, they did not want it to continue for longer, the easiest way, without losing any of thier own troops, was to do something so bad that Japan would be force to surrender.

Was it wrong? Yes.

Was it avoidable? Possibly.

It's happened, there's no use calling Americans sick, because it happened 60 years ago, it's over.

So we just went to throw out the ashes of grandma near the place she likes (Near a lake), along with a select few cause the family ties aren't that close nowadays.
It was sort of sad combined with the terrible rainy day it was, but I swear the sun shone for just a second after we threw the ash.
