I did too.
Basically my idea was a gold rush of sorts. Word gets out that the Pikmin planet is loaded with treasure and Hocotatians flood Earth for bottle caps and whatnot.

You make a hocotatian and mob around with an army and take junk.

Make a Hocotatian, hunt treasure in online servers. Fight MASSIVE ULTRA BOSSES with friends.

I always thought a human would make a hilarious boss.

Man I was going to make a RPG about that a while back for another forum called Port Pikpik or something like that.


A small little settlement where you'd sell your treasures and stuff.

Do you think with Pikmin 3 they'll do what they did to the Emperor Bulblax to the Titan Dweevil? Maybe give it only one treasure or something too?

In the first Pikmin game, Emperor Bulblax was ENORMOUS and hard to take down without sacrificing dozens of yellow Pikmin. He had one treasure you needed for a perfect game.
In Pikmin 2, Emperor Bulblaxes were uncommon, but often bosses in dungeons. They were much easier to take out (throw ten purple Pikmin between the eye stalks while it is still underground and it dies very quickly). Instead, the "final" boss was the Titan Dweevil, which had several weapon treasures and was a ridiculous amount of fun to take down.
My guess is for Pikmin 3 there will be several Titan Dweevils (powered down, of course. Maybe with only one or two weapons each as bosses for tough dungeons) and one big bad something else.

It would be awesome if, in the 3rd game, Olimar would encounter something like a Dog or Cat. Once you took it down you would get it's treasure and it would serve as a companion for the game.

You guys keep mention how cool it would be to encounter a human or something we see currently.



You guys seem to forget that in the first game Olimar mention how all the stuff he sees lying around seems to be left by some EXTINCT SPECIES and how the enemies he fights are evolved from those past species

Olimar also has no idea at all where he is. And if the treasures were left by an EXTINCT SPECIES, then they would be really old or damaged in some way.
He also thinks the 'extinct' species is his size, hence the ship naming things like jar lids 'billboards'.

Honestly though, it's probably just meant to give the series a unique feel, the idea that you're an alien who has no idea he's exploring a planet that has/had intelligent, civilized life.

I think that, in all honesty, the only animals we'll ever run into, if any, are birds or mice or animals of similar sizes. I mean, Olimar is about the size of/smaller than your average insect.
