Well, I listen to a bunch of different artists, but my favorites are Emerson, Lake, and Palmer and Flight of the Conchords. I also enjoy movie soundtracks, especially those done by David Newman, even if the movie itself isn't that good.

Despite that, I'm mostly a fan of heavy metal and any metal sub-genre. For some reason I'm on a Rammstein kick that just won't stop.

i've been listening to metal too oddly enough, mostly maudlin of the Well though

I'm not really fond of rock or metal, or anything considered 'hard-core'. Screamo gives me a horrible headache that's only outranked by the headaches I get from those mosquito ringtones.

The music that I really enjoy is orchestrated, symphony soundtracks...I also really enjoy music from other countries, like a couple of pretty Japanese pieces and Celtic music. I love Celtic music.

Oh and I listen to a lot of video game soundtracks too. More than half of the occupied space in my iPod is Zelda and Shadow of the Colossus music. I've been wanting to get the Okami soundtrack, too.

I got their song with the Guardians soundtrack. I like it; it's a nice song, but I like the rest of the songs on the soundtrack even better.

I think I'll pass. I've graduated to Portal and I don't think I could get anymore metal than that.

Let's see, as far as new music goes, I really dig Cage the Elephant. Their new CD was okay, not really that great, with my favorites being Always Something, Right Before My Eyes, All Around My Head and Flow. Sabertooth Tiger is pretty fun too. Seriously though, their first album is a lot better, and a lot more fun.

Older music, I really dig Blue Oyster Cult. My favorite song from them has got to be Perfect Water. I saw them in concert last summer, while I didn't have high expectations for it, it was really good. They mainly played songs that were on their greatest hits album 'Workshop of the Telescopes', and since that's mainly what I listen too, it was a good time. I also really dig The Tragically Hip, though I don't have any of their music on my computer because the only torrents I've found were in some format that WMP couldn't play (I know, music listening noob right here).

And to nerd things up a bit, I listen to a shiiiiiit ton of game music. Right now I've been really into the WoW soundtracks and the Phantasy Star Online soundtracks. Good gods Chaotic Bar (shopping theme from Episode 1) is amazing and the opening theme is just gorgeous.
