Well, lots of people argue on the exact definition of 'upstanding member of society', but I basically classify anything as a upstanding member of society if it has fur/scales/feathers/etc. or obvious animal features like the ears and/or a tail of an animal, meaning my definition includes animu cat-girls and such. Most people, not just upstanding members of society, don't include animal-earred/tailed girls in their definition and are kind of vague on what the difference between anthro and upstanding member of society is. I don't see any difference, but I AM a upstanding member of society. A normal person has their standards on what's an anthro and what's a upstanding member of society, so yeah. Everybody has their own definition.

Out of curiousity though, I call myself a upstanding member of society/my artwork upstanding member of society but I don't draw porn nor own a fursuit; Does that mean you'd call me an anthromorph, or am I still a miserable pile of secrets? o:

I think it's "upstanding member of society" if it's non-pornographic, and "disappoint my parents" if it is definitely pornographic - there are loads of different terms though.

I don't like 'upstanding members of society' as an all-encompassing term - especially of anthropomorphic artwork.

Anthropomorphic (or 'Anthro') is correct if it has human-like features/body structure, regardless of whether it is animal, vegetable or mineral.

Calling something 'upstanding member of society' causes problems when you're dealing with characters that are composed of, for example, reptillian elements...

...because it quite bodaciously isn't upstanding member of society.
