Actually I would think of it as the quiet ones know how to control their emotions and stay focused.

It helps to have a group of strangers, with a few casual acquaintances and maybe one or two friends.

The friends can be on your side in case of a group schism, the acquaintances are good because they can be considered a neutral party in case of schism, and having strangers along helps because it decreases the chance that you'll have to go Ol' Yeller on a friend.

It's also a good idea to establish group dynamics immediately. Make sure everyone knows you have a plan, but don't force them to listen to you. If someone wants to take charge, let them, they probably know what they're doing. If it becomes apparent they don't, voice your opinion in a calm and reasonable matter. Do not do anything to cause a conflict amongst yourselves. Do your best to defuse anyone elses attempts to cause a conflict.

Such a group would be great but wouldn't last, you will be interacting with these people on a daily basis, night watches, laundry, hunting parties. They will eventually become your friends whether you like it or not. Or they will become enemies and be forced out of the group or if they are to great of a threat, maybe killed.

And in terms of dealing with other people, go into it thinking they are as stressed and as desperate as you probably are.

Well I do have a few guns here, and i do know how to use them. The real problem is the quiet people would usualy be trying to be more solo, only having other people areound because of the need of them. I would prefer to be alone if safe to be alone in a Zombie attack, but because you need more than one fighter I would be forced to be in a group.

In my opinion haveing people you are close to from before the zombies would be worse than being with strangers. If a group was made entirley of strangers people would have their differances but be able to focus more on self prservation than making a dumb choice and trying to help their friend. By that I mean still trying to save your team, but either realizing its to late for your friend, or not doing something stupid because your friend MIGHT POSSIBLY be in danger. Saving the other people in a group would fall under self preservation.

Regarding being with groups of friends or strangers, you really aren't safe either way. Stressful, life-threatening situations bring out the worst in people.

(Censored this because zombie stories are not nice stories.)

In one zombie story I read, there was a scenario where a man had brought his ex-wife, 8-year-old daughter, and young son to the grocery store in their town to escape the living dead. It was relatively easy to defend, with many supplies. Neighbors of theirs were at the store as well, holding out as best as possible. Things seemed safe enough.

Then the man went out with some others to go gather more supplies that the store did not have. While they were gone, something was triggered in the other men's heads. Times were dire, life expectancy was cut drastically short - what if today was the last day they had to experience anything?

So these friends and neighbors gathered together, and raped the man's ex-wife and daughter. When his son tried to stop them, they made him watch.

When the man came back, he flew into a murderous rage. He killed each and every one of the men who had wronged his family, and his family became terrified of him. The next morning, he woke up, and they were gone, and he was alone.

It's not from a video game, it's from a comic.

That. Sounds pretty daisies depressing... Then again, what zombie story doesn't?

I remember World War Z creating a scenario in which a girl had to survive in this Canadian commune with her parents after escaping the states filled with zombies. When winter came, they had to Donner Party it up just to survive. It makes you think about what separates the undead from the not dead.

That story sure is depressing Insert.

But it also shows a bit that if a zombie attack were to happen, you could not trust others completely.

Not everyone can hold off their inner demons and there's no telling what they would do when they'd give in.

If a zombie were to happen I think I'd go for the 4-5 people limit. Preferably not some strangers.
