Made by Obsidian, which is the last good RPG studio (if you can get past the bajillion bugs).
Yeah, because KOTOR II was a huge improvement on the first. Neverwinter Nights II was heaps better as well, right? Oh man, and wasn't Alpha Protocol interesting and exciting? Obsidian might have some of the remnants of Black Isle, but they haven't pumped out anything yet that's been better than "meh". I wouldn't get too excited.
KotOR 2 was a big improvement over KotOR 1, TBH. It was just unfinished - which is where the content restoration mod comes in. I know, terrible excuse, but Obsidian did a much better job with the franchise than Bioware did with some excellent writing and characters.
I liked Alpha Protocol although I'd agree it was pretty bad. Writing was okay and story was pretty good if you consider how flexible it was.
NWN2... I hear it was better than the first but not by far. The expansions were amazing though.
And Dungeon Siege 3 looks amazing. I should probably link the hour long preview of the pre-alpha build they showed off at NYC (if I can find it again).
So, yes, I am exaggerating, but I'm starting to prefer Obsidian's bug-riddled games than Bioware's latest games.
