AWKWARD ZOMBIE

So, one of my old online friends who I decided to stay in contact with told me recently that he planned to quit the game he was playing and wanted to know about League of Legends... Stuff like the game mechanics and what my opinion of it was. By the time he was convinced that it was worth trying, his competitive nature got the better of him and he asked me who was OP.

After explaining how the metagame is all about really tanky champions who can still manage to do DPS, I came to the inevitable conclusion: play Garen for survivability, or Xin Zhao for DPS.

So now, he's got no runes, hardly any masteries, a pretty uninspired and non-adaptive item build, and he still hasn't learned how to farm all that well, and yet every time I'm about to land a kill, there he is, with that stupid goddamn ultimate.

He often asks me why people seem to bear a grudge against him and always focus him first even though he's a tank. He doesn't understand the answer I give him yet, but I do. More than I ever thought possible.

I hate you, Garen.

Edit: I went up against a pretty terrible Garren one match, he didn't know how to push and had to rely on Blitzkrieg a lot to even get any of us close enough for damage.

Garen is annoying because he has high survivability and his Spin attack does a lot of damage which is sorta doubled when you add in the sunfire capes. They melt from the capes + the spin and the capes give him a ton of survivability. Most if not all good Garens will sit in the bushes at the edge and wait since he regains health via his passive faster than normal when not attacked he will sit there regening until you get close then BAM silence attack, exhaust, spin spin spin and you die. I saw a garen solo a 2v1 and actually kill the 2 people (granted it was a normal game but I like to consider myself at a decent skill level and my friend I queued with is like 1600 ranked which is good). I like him, I bought his Desert skin when he first came out.

I also have Frosted Ezreal because Ez is awesome even if heavily nerfed

You can post and you can read but you can't log on the test realm unless you have a special account (which is rare to be given out anymore). Usually the post the patch notes there too that you can see before it hits. Its all supposed to be confidential and you shouldn't talk about it outside the PTR but because anyone can access the forums its hard to enforce that. I dont know why they made the change, I think it was due to some armor pen rune change got out and all the player base complained about it so they removed it. Also maybe they want particular champs to be revealed through like special sites or magazines or other media that they have deals/partnerships with.

However because it all get leaks anyways, one of the devs in charge of balancing made her own blog that just has the new champs and stuff on it its 100% legit (although subject to change) and is updated when new stuff comes out it is found here:

Right now she has the Jericho posts and pictures as well as the Eve Remake version 2.0.

These sites are a lot "safer" than that russian website although that russian website isn't bad, but at least this stuff is in English and is "unofficially official"

Yeah, there are quite a few bad Garens out there which is actually quite surprising.

Bad Garen players are just missing fingers that can comfortably press "e"

It's surprising how much damage Sona can deal late game. Especially with 600AP from Baron and items.

Taric might be the only Champion I purchase, ever.
