AWKWARD ZOMBIE

Hi.
Looks like if the adventure threads are quite a thrill in here.
I enjoy participating in 'em on this forum.
What I dislike, though, is how much it is empty in here when I wake up.
Most of you know already, but I'm French, so it's not the same time in here.
You're all sleeping.
So now, I'll play a game.
This is an adventure thread; but not a funny one. This is going to be a long story.
I can write. Don't worry. And when I wake up, from now on, I'll come in here and see what options you gave, and write long diatribes about 'em (is "diatribes" english too ? I'm not sure anymore).

Let's start by the start : male or female ? Vote.
Then :

Jack Merridew the old fart

You are a 60 years old grandfather. You wake up in the middle of the night because the bed feels too uncomfortable, even though you definitely know that it is your own bones who feel uncomfortable anywhere, today. You get up, not even tired, and walk slowly towards your window.
The moon shines. It is one of those sad things, for you : the moon, constantly shining, will keep on shining even when you'll stop. Heck, you stopped shining years ago... Your wife died when you were 55 after a fatal heart attack, and you kept feeling guilty about it. You miss your children, even though you've always acted distant towards them, so much that they don't really miss you themselves. You are alone in this small but expensive flat that you got from one of your stepmother's friend who's a total bitch. You hate her with your guts, and anger fills you; at least it's better than sadness and sorrow.

You turn away from the window. The moon was blinding today, anyway. You start mumbling to yourself how this place sucks, the people suck and the night sucks. You don't realise how you hate everyone only because no one loves you. You go back to bed, hoping you'll fall asleep again.

Even angrier now, you start yelling you guts out. You turn to the walls, thinking they were looking at you funny. You hit on them, and swear to god they're not going to get away with this. No one insults Irma that way. You don't know any Irma but you're sure she's a good girl and she wouldn't hurt anyone like the walls said.
You here banging on the other side of the wall. The people yell that they want to sleep and that you're pissing them off. You sorta wake up, and understand what was going on. Feeling like you're turning full nuts, you go back silently to bed, and cry to sleep. Like crying for help.
