worked on the project we were doing alone, didn't get any help at all. did it wrong, was blamed for it, cried, teacher took me out in the hall and apologized etc

People who cry over relatively trivial things make me feel like crying myself. Whereas people who cry over major things just make me feel like I'm watching a Lifetime movie. Yes, I know I'm an asocial bastard.

Also, Prozac is seriously fucking scary, I know people who've taken it and had their personalities do a complete 720 then act like nothing happened.

A lot of people in my extended family have been dependant on stuff like Prozac - mental health is big question on my father's side of the family.

I think I'm stable enough to not need it myself though, although I was prone to bouts of OCD behaviour when I was much younger.

I had to break my OCD behaviour myself - I think I effectively re-programmed my brain to function in a different way - or at least occupy the over-active parts of my brain with more constructive pursuits like artwork and story writing.

Most meds or cures for depressed people are used so they WILL stop taking them someday. They're done so the patient will say someday "fuck that shit, that makes me depressed, that fucks me up, I'll deal with it", and... you deal with it and start feeling better.

actually, most are indefinite. especially if you're past 18 and still taking it.

I haven't cried in years. I think my tear ducts have dried up.
