playing for a minute is different than playing to the first dungeon and being so bored you cant go on. I gave OOT enough time.

daisies straight. OoT and TFC are extremely similar and take about the same amount of time to complete, after all.

Exactly. 1 minute isn't enough time to play a full round, which gives you barely any experience in the game.

Beating the first dungeon of a game and not being interested in going on is a fair amount of time to experience it.

Now if I played OOT for a minute and didn't even get the first SWORD, then that's not a fair amount of time.

No.

...

Zelda is an ADVENTURE game. Completing the first dungeon takes maybe an hour. How long does the game itself take? Much, MUCH longer than that. The story hasn't even gotten off the ground yet. TFC, on the other hand...nowhere close to an adventure game. A game like that has nothing to carry it except gameplay.

Know what I don't care about in games? Graphics and story. I couldn't care less why I have to kick RPG boss dude #1423's booty.

Every other Zelda game has managed to hold my attention for at least one playthrough. Other Zelda games I found to be masterpieces and I still play them(Zelda 1, 2 and LTTP).

TFC is a very large game, there are NINE CLASSES each with a unique play style. Playing ONE CLASS for ONE MINUTE just isn't enough time. Playing an adventure game to the end of the first dungeon and bodaciously falling asleep means the game isn't worth playing.

You are officially my least favourite person (at least as a gamer) ever.

I couldn't agree more.
Seriously, the graphics, I can understand; if you have fun with a game on Super Nintendo (like Donkey Kong Country, say), it's cool, no problem.
But the story... no, man, it matters, I guess... I don't go shooting anyone in the street in a game "just because that's fun lol". If I have something to do, there has to be a reason. An explanation.
That's what I don't like about most FPS. They don't have a good storyline -well, the story isn't enough to explain why we shoot this or that guy.
Perfect Dark had some storyline. Some great one. Perfect Dark zero, a litlle less. Bioshock has a BIG storyline, even if I see Perfect Dark like a way better game.
Anyway, STORY. MATTERS.
... well at least, if you have fun with the game, that's enough...

EDIT : by the way, what's TF2 ? And TFC ? Why don't you write a full-name just ONCE when you write, you lazy bubbles ?

TF2 = Team Fortress 2, a very popular but not-so-great FPS game available on steam.

TFC = Team Fortress Classic. It is a very old game, was quite popular back when steam wasn't around but not as popular as Counter Strike. Was available as a free mod for owners of Half Life.

I think I can speak for most everybody when I say that I'm tired of hearing an in-depth analysis of why someone else's opinion is irrevocably wrong. There is absolutely no purpose whatsoever to continue this discussion. Someone can like a game, and someone else might not. That is no reason to insult other people. Please, I know this is the internet, but for once, I'd like to see people not rip each other's throats out over something as stupid as this.

This is falling on deaf ears, isn't it?[/b]

... did anyone insult anybody, here ?...
And isn't that the purpose of a discussion ? An opposition of ideas ? Without any argument of course, but... I don't think anyone was arguing...

Wait, why was the first Team Fortress game called Team Fortress Classic?

TFC wasn't the first TF game, the first TF game was a mod on Quake IIRC. Valve liked it so they made a version of it on the Half Life engine.

Calling it Classic just sounds cool.

Is that why you like Mega Man 9?
