That was the best boss battle ever.

[spoiler]Destroy the electric tool, since that's the only one that can't be whistled off and then the rest of the battle should be easy if you run fast.[/spoiler]

[spoiler]The 1000 Pikmin treasure was awesome. Just awesome.[/spoiler]

[spoiler]Also, the last level, Wistful Wilds, was full of epic.
Combination of the Impact Site from Pikmin 1, and the Final Trial from Pikmin 1.
Impact Site is at the top. Olimar crashed in the rocky area out the outer ring on the right.[/spoiler]

Now I have to play Pikmin 2 again.

I'm just too daisies lazy to get 100 purple pikmin can you reach the equivalent of 1000 pikmin without 100 purpple ones?

You take a full squad of purple Pikmin from the spaceship. 100. Grab the weight, they slowly carry it to the ship, then hooray heaviest treasure.

And I got the 100 Purple Pikmin by going through the Water Wraith dungeon repeatedly.

Water Wraith is definitely one of my favorite bosses, along with the Louiespider.

The water wraith was annoying..


UNTIL I THREW A PURPLE PIKMIN AT HIS booty.

I have to go play Pikmin 2 now, thanks to this thread.

Pikmin really is a pretty demented game.I mean think about it...

When you throw a pikmin into a candy pop bud of a different color you actually change the chemical makeup of the pikmin. For instance, when it comes to the white a purple candy pops those are probably the most fucked up of all. For the white pikmin the transition must be the most painful. When you throw a pikmin into a candy pop it intermediately inject enough poison into its system that It not only becomes poisonous and resistant to it but it drains the color out of the pikmin's body. If that wasn't enough it rips out the pikmins eyes and replaces them with ones that can see underground. And when it comes to the purple pikmin while inside the candy pop they get torn open and stuffed with muscle that they weigh tens times as much as they used to. and they also get stuffed so much that the skin on their heads get push out into spikes in some places. And if that's not bad when they get stored in the ship. They are forced to breathe the noxious gas that olimars breathes. And there is no way that there is a place for them to breath oxygen because they are in orbit around the alien planet which leads me to believe that you are in space. and if there was a place for oxygen to leak in when you went into space THE PIKMIN WOULD EXPLODE. And that's not the worse you,the player, leads thousands of pikmin to their deaths by the end of each game and probably don't even care. I mean lets face it. To us they're expendable. Whats that? 3/4s of your army just got eaten? Well isn't that super lets go get some dead carcass' and forget about this horrible incident. And at the end of both games you leave them without a leader on the planet. Which would explain why there is only three of each pikmin left when you find them in the second.Because of your carelessness you let them almost go extinct. Sure you come back in the next game and get the population back up. but hey, When you pay off your debt and find dumb-booty you leave them for dead again. So lets face it, when the next game comes out they are probably extinct and the animals have probably evolved enough to figure out where the pikmin came from and destroyed the onions because the pikmin are completely lost without a leader so, thanks to Olimar they are extinct. PERMANENTLY.

Oooookaay. 'change the chemical makeup'. Remember that? Doesn't necessarily rip their eyes out.


Try 'steroids'.


The ship stores them in the hold with all the treasure. Since some of the treasure is organic material, we can assume the ship keeps the air in the hold the same as the planet the treasures come from, otherwise all those fruits and vegetables would get all nasty.

Got two perfects on challenge mode in Pikmin 2 on levels I hadn't gotten perfects on before. Woohoo.

I let out a really loud 'WHAT THE FUCK' when this guy fell out of the sky onto my squad. Thankfully no one else was home when it happened.
