Yes. The village is near the river; a bit more to the southwest is my house, next to the river as well. Goat's place cannot be seen from the river.

Also Foo no one is going to buy that house. The game isn't about buying and selling, it's about sharing with your fellow campers (or looting, I love looting). If you're not going to use that house and are building a new one for yourself, then just let someone else use it, you already got the LP from it. Also it's still a pretty big inconvenience that you claimed such a large area of land directly west of us when we planned on expanding that way, you know.

As far as I know, we're not trying to create our own "village." I'm in the same group, I fish for the hut from time to time and such.
This way, it seems a little less cramped, easier to build up a house and stuff. I'm also closer to rock and tree resources, less walking back and forth.
I'm in the same group, but in the future, I could also see myself relying on materials if there's some crazy territorial war outbreak bear attack in the town or something.

I will tame them when I feel like it.
