One of the first Arcade games I ever beat was a game that was basically Die Hard Arcade called Dynamite Cop. I loved it to death, as you could kill someone with breadsticks. It was very wonderfully over the top, and not overly difficult, either.

The very first game I ever beat was Lode Runner: The Legend Returns. It's up there with some of the best puzzlers of all time. Frantic action, some great tools to create your own content, and one of my favorite ways to kill an enemy of all time: trap them in a tomb of earth that closes around them.

I'm sure there are others, but I can't remember them off the top of my head.

Elite Beat Agents. That game is my favorite one for the DS. The only other person who I have met not over the internet who has played this game was a guy from Brazil. If you have a DS and are not tone-deaf, buy this game naough.

I just started playing it. It's awesome. xD

Persona 3. Not really that well-known where I live.

That was one of the best multiplayer games on the N64 - the chaotic scramble to get on the chair-lift at the bottom of the slope was always great fun!

And the "SNOWMAN" weapon was genius!

ah yes, i forgot a game :

Touhou : imperishable night. Something that you will never be able to beat. Not even in your dreams and on easy mode.

Not even Agent Smith or Neo could dodge this. D:

Letsee here...

Wizardry 7, AKA Crusaders of the Dark Savant - DOS game with one of the funniest "smart" response systems for questioning NPCs. Also a very innovative lock-picking system that I still think trumps anything to date; has the danger of chance, skill, and timing, as well as a mini-logic puzzle involved. Always interesting to me.

Anything made by TSR for DOS. And that's just me showing my age. >>

Challenge of the Five Realms - DOS RPG in which the only thing I didn't like about it was the timed aspect. 100 days to save the world as this creeping darkness came up from the bottom to the top of the world. It didn't really give you enough time to explore on your own, and there was no way to backtrack if you missed something and the darkness already ate where you needed to go. >> Fun character creation system though, along the lines of the original Ultima games.

Shining Force: Sword of Haijya - Game Gear; I was addicted to this game and it got me into the other Shining Force games on the Genesis. My dad even played it too - he ended up getting further than me because he has a better mind for tactics than I... what with the whole military background and such. >>

Ephemeral Fantasia - PS2. This got nothing but bad reviews, and I still loved it. Final Fantasy meets Majora's Mask meets Guitar Hero. ...How can you not give that a try?

Heroes of Might & Magic - DOS to current PC. These games are fun. I'll always be a bigger fan of turn-based strategy games over RTSes, but maybe that's just cause I have slow reaction times and the total inability to multi-task.

I'm sure there's more. I'm also a particular sucker for looking up old PC games and running them in DOS emulators. Old DOS games were the shit.

Links: The Challenge of Golf (DOS) - While the newer ones are more well-know, I've only ever met one person who played the original.

Risky Woods (DOS) - Never met anyone who knew about it other than me.

Prince of Persia (DOS) - While everybody knows of the new ones, there's a distinctly unfortunate lack of people who even knew there were games before it.
And thats bad.

This thread is for games that people don't know about, not games that everyone does!

Really? I always thought Touhou was like a fad.

I had forgotten why I had obsessively played Snowboard kids until I remembered the multiplayer.

Just one girl I know has heard about it. The rest... well, shout "Shouryuken", they know what you mean, but go "Bustaah Wolf!" and they go :/

It sucks. booty.
I pity you. People over here can't recognize the awesomeness that is Street Fighter due to the overload of King of Fighters/Fatal Fury/Mark of the Wolves.

What, not even Tekken or DOA or anything?

Where the heck do you live?
I do know one person who's into DOA. I'm going to the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Right across teh border from Saint Paul, where I'm from.

LSD Dream Emulator. It's on youtube, and it's kickass.

No objective, no goal, just the way I like it. Oh, and very trippy.
