Although technically we only signed the Declaration of Independence on July 4th. It would've taken months to get to England and the war still continued for years afterward.

1. England, though like OA said the war was still going on and such. I don't think the constitution was made until somewhere in the 1780's (though feel free to tell me I'm wrong, I don't really keep up with this kind of thing)

There are signs for this pioneer woman's "trail" all over the place where I live.

Apparently she was captured by Native Americans and forced to walk some large distance, and her kids were killed and she escaped and went home.

Everyone loves her and hates the Native Americans for being so cruel.

Excuse me, but that lady and her husband were building a house and farming on the Native Americans' land. If someone started building a house in your backyard without permission, you'd probably beat the shit of them, too.

And that is why I can't help but laugh every time someone talks about American history.

So where do Native Americans live now?

I feel pretty bad for them. Must suck to be them.

My great grandmother was nearly entirely Native American. I'm part Lenape.
