I was thinking of his ultimate. Overall he hits less with his ultimate, but everything else is better and Dark Matter is now actually worth a daisies.

But uh, yeah, I was wrong. He was pretty much buffed.

Akali and Morgana both got fixed... buffed, even. I could not be happier.

Also, Veigar's ult really got hit hard. Almost nobody gets significant amounts of AP before late-game because the base damage of most abilities more than covers for it while you build up your items. Mana is always valuable, and the only champions who value AP but don't use mana are Kennen, Katarina, Akali, and Mordekaiser on rare occasions. I doubt those four are a big enough threat to Veigar to warrant such a ridiculous change in his ult's mechanics.

I played 4 games tonight. The first 2 games we rocked, the third game was kind of a come from behind victory, but the 4th one PTTTTHHHHHFFFFFPPPPHHHHH

New week, new champion rotation:

Fuck yeah time to hang with my buddy Gangplank. I've been saving up for him but now I get him for free (for a week)!

Ok, Volley was actually buffed. They decreased the amount of arrows, didn't change the range on it though, it doesn't stack with frost shot but does MORE dmg now.

Also Veigar was nerfed, if you look at the math overall he saw a decrease in performance for his role. His W is quicker now, but does less dmg, his Q now only gives you AP at rank 5 which takes lvl 9 to get and his ult is doing a lot less dmg especially against non-casters. His passive was a lot more anti caster and this new half a chalice isn't worth much either, its nice but his old one was more interesting.

I still like Ezreal, the fact that he no longer heals is kinda irrelevant to me since I play him AD now and therefore get W only when I cant get QER. I mainly only used it for the atk spd boost in the first place and that got better so its not so bad. I do miss saving an ally though from like death with a small 150 heal or so but oh well. When they nerf his arcane shift CD and mystic shot range I'll be more upset.

As for you Shoolis, Gangplank is pretty bad. Let me explain. Last patch he saw a nerf in dmg to his Q (overall dmg less although it can't be dodged or miss or whatever which is more like a bug fix rather than a buff). His E was buffed though although his ult was nerfed (increased size of cannonballs but decreased dmg). He is way too RNG (random number generator). If you don't get a crit he is bad, if you do nice! Since they just nerfed base crit and crit runes last patch it makes him pretty abysmal, its common sentiment on the forums that he is low tier. Sure you will do fine if you are fed, but that can be said for any champion. However if you like pirates and he looks fun to you, go for it. Its a game you are meant to have fun, but I am a little bit more tryhard/competitive/elitist and hate seeing them on my teams since they usually just do bad 90% of the time and don't really contribute. He is a win more character imo. Good if you are already winning, but won't be able to turn the tide or make a huge difference, just help you win more than you already are.


I won't claim I know everything and I'm the best LoL player ever because I am not, but I do try and follow the metagame and whos good right now and what not. If you guys want any advice on builds or runes/masteries let me know I can help you out, although my advice will be slanted towards more winning and not necessarily towards "fun".

Play who is most fun. I don't want to turn you off from the game. If you want to play pirate go for it. Just right now he is frustrating playing with because he is sorta underpowered. They really need to buff him. Maybe you are one of those people are actually do well with him. Play him a couple games and see what you think, don't just take my word as gospel, please.
