Could get worse

Lightning strikes the Oilicane. Becomes world's first Pyrocane.

;_; I don't want to leave my home. Katrina was bad enough :C

It's been raining heavily on-and-off for the past two days, each time beginning around 2:00PM. (On a related note, our local weather forecasters have(n't) been doing their job as usual; a predicted 0% chance of rain on those days.) Midday storms are just plain uncommon here, which leaves me wondering if there are any other surprises creeping around the corner.

I sure loved our last Summer. |:(

It's supposed to be summer and we got our first SUMMER WEATHER just YESTERDAY. The rest of this season has felt like late winter! :\

I'm kinda hoping we have clear skies for July 4th here in Cheyenne. I want to eat my homemade peach ice cream that'll I'll be making that day and watch fireworks without it being rainy.

I already know it'll be cold like it is everynight, though. Oh well.

Other than that, its the same terrible, uncomfortable heat it normally is.

I didn't feel it :I

Neither did I. I guess coastal Massachusetts was too far away from the epicenter.

FFFFFF, I know right??

Conversation I had with a lurker the other day:

"Hey, shouldn't they have stopped that oil spill, like, yesterday?"
"They should've stopped it 50 days ago when it started."

Oh, but at school one day, it was raining freakishly hard, so my friend made a super cute Teru Teru Bozu! And it half way stopped! So, she made another, and it completely stopped!

It's been like... 63 days now. My college news paper is keeping track. I think Destin is closed.

Just a slight change from the Cliched "nice weather we're having today" Cliche, since I've not been here in a while.

Anyway, Has anyone been having bad or unusually weather/ environmental catastrophies lately?

We had a miniscule earth tremor that hit us, the main quake was estimated to have hit Queens New york. We're also getting hit with a severe thunderstorm, and have the regions been put on Tornado watch.

We had a Tornado rip through our peaceful country side 2 weeks ago it decimated nearly all the trees we had hanging around the parks and lots of damage done.

What about you guys and gals?

In the past decade there has been a huge increase in the number and severity of natural disasters. Its Global Warming starting to take effect.
