Getting back on-topic, the entire series is roughly $40 on Steam.

I would like to point out that this was my favorite FPS back when FEAR 1 was new and fresh.

Still is a great contender. I love playing it even today. Multiplayer isn't what it used to be, but it's still good fun.

Also That goddamn ladder

Not sure how well FEAR would work as a LP unless it was a video LP. It's hard to capture the creepy in still pictures. It's more of a tension builder than anything

Agreed. You really need video and audio to capture the ambiance and atmosphere of the game. The silent protagonist approach to the games could lead to some comical line inserts, though. I think "Mulch Gun" has become a bit of a favorite now.

Speaking of Mulch Gun, I will be resuming my stream of Project Origin tomorrow, picking up where I left off.

Double-posting because relevance. Derp.

If you want to watch the campaign of F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin up until after the elementary school chapter, my stream is set to continuously play recordings of both of the broadcasts I've done. This should hold you over until I start streaming again tomorrow.

Was streaming F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin, guest-starring Sheila! Now without 50 viewer limit!

the first was the best, it actually had a "supenseful" atmosphere that kept me on the edge of my seat, as enemies could come from any direction at any time

fear 2 and its spawn are more of SUPRISE horror tactics that doesnt really scare or do jack shit after the 124th fuckin time it does it.

infact my fave part of fear 2 is when you are able to actually get in a mech and fucking gun people down in it. so want to play mechwarrior after that

I'd gladly start a video LP of the first game or the expansions (but not the second one, that was awful), I just don't have anyone else here to comment with. LP's aren't much fun with only one person running the show.

... oh wait I'm still the new guy here, nevermind.

I am a terrible guest-commentator when I do not know the material. :I

Considering it's FEAR, the commentators on a video LP would probably be screaming, silent or saying things along the lines of "WTF WAS THAT".

Which would be pretty cool actually.

I'm in full agreement with you. F.E.A.R. is most enjoyable when you're unfamiliar with the source material.

I'm downloading the first game right now, and also found out how to use Ustream in the meantime. The delay is huge but at least it works.

Now I just need to find someone funny/something funny to say.

EDIT: I can't seem to be able to have my computer's sounds and my microphone's sounds at the same time. Actually I can't get my computer's sounds at all, the sounds keep looping (which means they get really loud) for some reason.
