I understand why some uses of DLC are sketchy but in some games it's basically like having an expansion pack. You can play the game by itself and have a really good time; the DLC is just there for if you want more game afterward. People got pissy about L4D2 not having enough new content to warrant paying full price for, and I feel like it would have gone over better as DLC or something like that.
I'm also talking about the kind of DLC that actually adds a butt-ton of content like new levels and story and is huge, like Borderlands's. Horse armor doesn't count as a legitimate purchase as far as I care.
I dunno not buying a game you'd otherwise like because it has DLC available seems silly to me

(But if you are buying Borderlands DLC don't bother with the second one it is not very good)

When I wrote that post, the two games that had came to mind were the WiiWare Cave Story and Megaman 9. Downloadable content... For things such as character skins, and a time trial mode D:

The entire concept just sorta makes me sick to my stomach.

EDIT: As for why "not to buy it," it's simply a matter of economics. If people who don't like DLC buy DLC games, just don't pay for the DLC, it's a net win for the developer, since some people inevitably are still playing for the DLC. If you don't buy the game at all, it hurts their sales, and will theoretically discourage the developer if the loss in sales exceeds the cheddar gained from DLC.

No I get that. I guess I just didn't find it that funny.

Using Lawyer Superpower #3, I was able to determine that a shotgun is apparently considered a short range weapon.

It was enough for me to get the joke. However, it left me confused, as I am uncertain how a gun can be considered a short range weapon unless it has a chainsaw built into it.

The first line of this comic inspired me to make this somewhat stupid edit. Don't blame me, the Internet made me do it!

I dunno, I think this is working on "video game physics."

I have a shotgun, you can hit AND kill things at about the same effective range as an assault rifle. It depends on the slug/or shot used a lot though.

All I know is the last FPS I played, this was my favorite gun.

And I used it to snipe EVERYTHING.

Fuck sniper rifles. They take too long to aim and reload.

I could shoot someone in the head with this little fucker from across the map.



Ten points if you are capable of figuring out the last FPS I played based on that gun. Knowing some of you gunfags, I honestly wouldn't be surprised.

EDIT: It would help if I would post an image of the correct gun. I still have no idea if that's the correct one.

I'm not sure if I understand the joke. So it's a shotgun, meaning it can't reach the thug from that distance. Is that it?
