I think that puppy had it coming. An who eats lollipops in public anymore anyway?

I can't criticize cartoons unless someone claims to draw the same character twice and they two pictures look nothing alike. Or if all the characters look alike. Minor details like clouds are just laziness issues.

Actually, it could be a reference to a common arguing technique/fallacy known as the straw man argument. The person makes an easily defeated misrepresentation of their opponent's position, which they pound into the dirt to try to win the argument. This is often employed in politics. On EVERY side of the matter.
