AWKWARD ZOMBIE

On the screen where you can start a new game or load a current one, click THAT series of options. Then go to gameplay, and there is a slider bar for difficulty. I think by default it is set in the middle. From the sounds of things, you wanna make things easier so keep adjusting it left as you so desire.

For reference, when it is set all the way to the left (easiest setting), I haven't faught something yet with my redguard that doesn't die in one power attack. Rats, zombies, wolves, bandits, highwaymen, imps, etc.

I haven't faught any trolls or anything yet, but on my khajiit, those went down in two or three attacks.

Well with that being said I think I'll just keep it the way it is or I'll feel like a cheater.

but oblivion is one of those games i cheat the hell out of. it's fun that way.

With my first Oblivion character I never altered the difficulty because THAT WOULD BE CHEATING.

With Charlie Manhuge, though, I bend the rules occasionally.

I don't think anyone would question Charlie Manhuge and accuse him of cheating or anything of the sort.
