So yeah. I made a topic.

Image

Btw, this made me lol since he looks like greil from FE 9 with purple hairz :awesome:

But that's not the point. Obviously there's a Fire Emblem DS coming to us, already released in Japan. (JAPANESE PEOPLE IN HERE RAISE UR HANDS).

So I then peered into http://serenesforest.net and found craploads of stuff. (What did you expect).

So I'd say this game will be awesome. Go there and find the thing.

CLASS SWAPPING. What do you think?

I think I'm turn everyone into different classes :awesome:

OMG before you complain MARTH CAN'T BE CHANGED from lord to sissy priest.

If you don't know who MARTH is then

Shut up I doz, commend posting. :psyduck:

Class changing will just make things worse I think. I own both Fire emblem games for the Game boy advance, and even though it can be pretty frustrating getting some of the characters to level up (daisies you nino) it made you use strategy, due to the fact that you only had like...2 tanks to work with, so you couldn't be reckless if you wanted all your peeps to survive. With class changing...that's a step in the wrong direction

I guess what you're saying is sorta true...(Swordsmaster->Sage=bad idea becase=low magic.)

So It'll take me a while on who I wanna change into what. Some of them you can't even change (like Marth, shooters, commandos, thieves). It's a challenge for units if they they change from sword to magic or from magic to sword, but I can safely assume that it's safer to change a character's class to one of their weapon selection. Swordsmaster w/ Swords->Horseman Ranger Thing=Bows and Swords.

...A lot of talking I didz. Until I get the game, I'm going to still wonder if Falcon Knights can change to Dragonknights (since Dragonites are the 2nd class of Peggys in this this game, Falcon=extra.) :psyduck:

I like class swap because I can turn piece of shit units like Wolf and Zagaro into decent characters. They make good heroes.

Also, it should be noted that growth rates and stats change upon promotion, so their stats fits their role better. A character's full growth is their base growths + their classes growths.

I think it would then benefit more for 1st class units or early level prepromotes (Like Wolf and Zagaro you said).

You make a Lv. 20 sorcerer into a lvl. 20 hero, and you go "OH SHI-" because he only has like, 9 STR, and you change it back.

...I still ish thinking if you were one class, then changed, then change back to your original class, then the weapon rank would start over. Or is it already true? I dunno.

(At least RabidNFB here reminded me of the other class swap factors :eng101: since everyone knows I have memory like a dried sponge in the Sahara Desert.)

One thing I can say is uncommon in recent FE games is that Mages, Sages, Dark Mages, Sorcerers, and Bishops wield the same tomes.

But they still have different stats, so :awesome:

I've only ever played one fire emblem game which was for the NES, and I didn't really get too far into it, so I'm probably not going to understand anything.
Which will probably lead to some very funny situations.

Wasn't it like japanese, the one for the NES? :eng101:

I know some of the recent FE features, but I have no clue when it comes to Fire Emblem 5 and below :awesome:

Aren't they remaking the first Fire Emblem game for the DS? If they do, they better bring it over to the U.S.

Not a bad idea with Killing Edges. Besides, the only Sage I've ever seen kill a swordmaster is a boss who got a statistically impossible crit (one percent crit rate and the cunt got crits and killed the unit I sent against him three of the four times I played that level. D:)

I mean, Swordmasters have such incredible evasion that they're rarely hit anyways. I've won levels with nothing but two swordmasters cutting through everything that's thrown at them (which was 40+ promoted units, magic and physical) and I only required healing once or twice.

They did, and its out.

So far it doesn't look like anyone outside of Japan is getting it, so if you want it really bad you're going to have to ROM it up or import.

Yeah this. I don't want Fire Emblem becoming FF Tactics.

It was on a site which let you play browser based NES games, like emulation, but without downloading anything, and legal.
