Same here, but with boys.

I always found it strange how people talk about getting a boyfriend or girlfriend like they talk about going to the grocery store and getting a gallon of milk.

Then again, I could always play along with a girl just for the sex...

Same. It's weird to see people get together one week and break up the next. (Like what my sister did that one time... With my best friend. Ouch.)

I don't know if any of the options apply to me.

I'm just confused about the difference between bi and pan, mainly because I think there are only two genders. Sure, someone may prefer to be the opposite gender and whatever, but they still have either two X chromosomes or a Y.

Bisexual: Yay I love penis! Yay I love vagina!
Pansexual: I don't give a rats booty what your genitalia is.

AKA, bisexuals care about the sex of the person. Pansexuals care about neither the gender nor the sex.

Sex = Physical Male / Female
Gender = Mental Male / Female / All that other shit that people do like Jamie does.

But... but... bisexuals don't care about the sex, right? They like both. So why do you say they care about the sex?

My head :psyduck:

Well yeah, I guess there are of course genetic sex defects.

Though that's not exactly what most people are thinking of when they talk pansexual.

My head :psyduck:

Bisexuals care about the sex in the same way that heteros and homos care about the sex of the person. They just care about the sex of the person being male or female.

...

To put it in layman's terms, a bisexual person who dated a transsexual (or crossdresser, or anything else), and didn't know it, would quite likely be very freaked out, same as a hetero or homo, even if they are completely comfortable dating both men and women.

Bisexuals tend to have a very rigid sense of what is male and what is female, and are uncomfortable with any form of gender bending.

EDIT: You know, I'm trying really freaking hard to explain this.

EDIT EDIT: Let me try again...

Pansexuals don't really have any problem with dating a transsexual/crossdresser/genderqueer/etc. Bisexuals tend to be uncomfortable with dating someone who isn't rigidly male or female, same as heteros and homos.

I understand. You don't have to try to explain to me.

I just know nothing of sexuality other than straight. :psyduck:
