RHYTHM PARADISE!!! I won't rest until I get that perfect on Rhythm Rally 2 and Remix 8 (speed ups make me crai)! >_<

Got a lot of games that I loved but no one seemed to recognise... Mainly Nintendo spawned, back in what were, for me, the golden days. Only brushing the surface with these, the highlights I guess, but there are far too many others to name.

Image

The very first game I ever completed, and one of the wackiest. Massive peaches, psychotic actors who want to turn Japan into one big stage, and massive robot battles with excellent soundtracks (DASH DASH DASH!). I'll need to play this one again...

*EDIT @ Ame* Ah, I see this was already posted. Glad someone other than me has heard of it then. Many <3s for for that game (especially Ebisumaru, that crazy guy!).

Image

Another crazy item. Never got far enough through it, but was great fun.

Image

The first rhythm game I experienced, and again, completely insane. Dancing aliens, who
aren't really evil WHAT A TWIST OMG!!!
plus great gameplay and crazy songs. I wonder if this has been updated actually...

Image

Fantastic little beat-em-up. Blasted mother sold it, and has regreted it ever since. Would be nice if this was updated too... I REALLY miss playing it.

Oh, and hi all. Been forum/comic lurking for a while now. Thought it was about time I made an account.

Please arm yourself with a hazmat suit and read the warning tag at the bottom of this post before continuing, and please, enjoy your stay.

On a serious note, I would say those might be underrated, but partially because I've only heard of one of them, (Space channel 5) and through very bizarre circumstances.

Yar. Although she DID technically sell one of them, my mother was one of those wizened old gamers, and knew exactly what to look for in a good game. ALL of them were excellent yet severely underappreciated (Ico and Okami were one of the others, although already mentioned I see). Mystical Ninja barely even made it over here, and was edited to be more "appropriate" for the non-Japanese community. Ah well, at least we got SOME version of it.

And thank ye for the welcome. T'is muchly appreciated. Seems like a nice forum to be a part of, so I'll do my best not to despoil it or anything. =D

Oh my god. I saw ICO on sale at a convention last week for $70
I am so regreting the fact that I didn't try to haggle the price down. I was so close, but so far away. Well...time to buy it on Ebay! :awesome:

For a second I thought that was Rhythm Heaven.

Don't worry I still love you for this.

OSNAP!

I forget, what's the difference again? They are essentially the same game, just different region names, right (like "Feel The Magic XX/XY"/"Rub Rabbits")? Or is it a sequel? I think if it was a sequel, I would have snapped it up by now, but if not, I MUST KNOW!

*Moar edit*

anybody?

(note: I never actually played the n64 version that is pictured, i only played the arcade version and the gamecube version)

Yar, I remember that. Had it for the console, and spent hour and hours in the arena practice thingie trying to do stunts, even though I was really shit at it. Never once deterred me though.

... God daisies it, I miss my N64 now! >_<

I think Rhythm Paradise was for the GBA in Japan, then there was Rhythm Paradise gold which was a sequel for the DS, and in America it's called Rhythm Heaven.

Now I want to play this game.

Hrm... Well, the Rhythm Paradise I have is definitely for the DS. Maybe it's different again in Europe?

And I remember the GBA one now, although I've never played it. Wonder how it compares... The first Wario Ware was great, even though it was only a couple of buttons you used. Might be similar.
