As you would expect, Mr. Mime is a traveling street performer. He's more than just a mime, though, as he'll switch costumes to perform various roles, from being a magician, to a ventriloquist, to a mere door-to-door salesman. He won't ever switch out his hat, though, which he hand-sewed for his first performance, a satire of his father, the venerable and quite wealthy Mr. Mime, who's known for his long hair and generous bald spot.

Young Mr. Mime chooses poverty over wealth, since his dream is to see the world at ground level, as a traveling performer, not from bird's-eye-view, from some private aircraft. Mime Sr. honors his son's wishes and stays out of his business, but still sometimes sends him cheddar and even private police to watch over him.

Although Mr. Mime is usually an extremely easy-going guy, smiling and laughing even in the face of adversity, this facade really hides the fact that he resents people who take advantage of him. He'll slap around anyone tries to steal his hard-earned cash (it's a pride thing), and immediately change the subject should someone refer to him by his old nickname, Mime Jr.
