Huh...looks like Shadowtails has gone Tyler Durden on us. Little bit of an over-reaction, if you ask me, but whatever.

Just remembered one of my all-time favourite games.

Revenge of Shinobi

This game stands out in my mind as a game with too much "awesome". It's the one that i talk about around guys my age who grew up with Mega Drives. I ask them if they remember Shinobi, mentioning that it was the first game to feature Godzilla, Spiderman, who morphs into Batman, and the T-800, which morphs into the Incredible Hulk, and then back into the T-800 again, not to mention the loads and loads and loads of ninja.

I played a lot of Mega Drive games, and now I have access to virtual console and ps2 compilation games I have a load of retro games available. Sadly, I can't find Shinobi anywhere. Serves me right for not hanging onto my old consoles, I suppose.

Favourite retro game: Sonic 3 & Knuckles, SW: Jedi Knight 2.

Favourite Nintendo game: Super Smash series, Zelda:OoT and Lylat Wars (Star Fox 64).

Favourite PC game: Beyond Good & Evil, Grim Fandango and Half-Life.

It's so hard to choose :/

Hmm... It's kinda hard to decide, but...

1. Brawl
Why? Because it's multiplayer and you get to kick eachother in the face, set others on fire, freeze 'em, hit them with a nice, sharp sword, or just... you know, push them off the edge? Not to mention Marth's grab/hit is a shot to the wee. Ike is evidently heavy, as his down throw shows. :awesome: Violence wins the heart of every preteen boy. Unless they were really effeminate or a hippie, or something. (Not that I'm a boy.)

2.Odin Sphere
Again, another game where you kill stuff. However, the artwork is just awesome on the fully grown Leventhan, Darkova, and Belial, both alive and undead. There's also a unique way of boosting your health and "magic", either by eating food that you bought or grew, or visiting the Pooka kitchen with a few Ariel Coins and some food items that the helpful Pooka merchant has. Not to mention you can play as 5 different characters. This guy explains it better than I can. PICTURES INCLUDED!

3.Persona 3 FES
Why do I keep putting action games on the list? Yes, this is another one, also different. Instead of magic, you have a Persona that apparently grows stronger as you make friends within only one year. The music and the storyline absolutely wins, but both characters seek the answer to life, which is-- Actually, I'm not telling you. Yes, you do play two characters, one you get to name and the other with a name already.

4.Folklore
Yup, ANOTHER ONE! This isn't higher because I only played the demo version and I don't have a PS3. Graphics are AWESOME and I'm assuming by the name that all the Folk in the game are from different myths. HOLYCRUDTHEBOOBRIE IS. Also, you aren't doing any of the fighting. Instead, you... I guess... summon Folk to fight for you. It also shows a sort of tug-of-war when you try to collect their Ids, which I guess are like souls. The Mind Charge gauge makes me think of a POW gauge, too. :awesome:

Yeah, that's all. There's definitely more that I haven't said, but it's probably too subtle for me to notice, or I haven't got that far.

If Shadowtails is going to type an "I quit" message, at least try to use punctuation. IT HURTS. Oh, and you're not the first one. There's some who have never posted at all. If you can't see past the first layer, don't bother. It's all in good humor, I think...

1. Brawl-Multiplayer, Supreme Competition, Imagination-decisive Gameplay, 'Nuff said.

2. Golden Sun-Djinn-system, Love the party system, The codes that change names, and Psynergy is just plain neat.

3. Fire Emblem-Fantasy-themed, Multiple Classes, Character Interpretation, Pwnsome Weapons, and Marth.

Top 3 games. :eng101: NUFF SAID. :awesome:

Phoenix Wright.
Because it made me cry.

Also, Majora's Mask. MM > OoT. Um, for reasons stated before. It's just so beautiful and wonderful and brilliant.

We are alike in that way. :awesome:

It's a fantastic series, to be sure. The whole game in itself is original and the interactive novel gameplay is something that everyone should try at least once. Not to mention how indepth the story will become at times, especially in Trials and Tribulations (my personal favorite).

And come on, who wouldn't want to yell "Objection!" into the microphone? :awesome:

-------

Oh yes. And who could forget The Ocarina of Time? ... That game was (and still is) the best Legend of Zelda game I've played.

hmm.. Kid Chameleon. Because Mario, Zelda II, Contra, and even Deadly Towers just weren't enough of a challenge. :)

Fallout 2 comes in a close second. It's nice to have the option of blowing up annoying children.

Metroid Fusion: Because it was the first Metroid game I played, and I lost the cartridge after I beat it, so nostalgia and longing are totally blurring my judgement. Also, infinite jumping and screw attack. <3

Baldur's Gate 2 probably. I still replay it ever so often, my first playthrough took me like 150 hours and made me cut off virtually all social contacts for weeks, just so much to do, so much to explore. Good times. Fallout 1+2, Planescape: Torment and Majora's Mask too.

PS.: Bethesda = Satan; Fallout 3 = Antichrist

Majora's Mask: Seriously, do I need to say why? Everyone else already has.

Jet Force Gemini: Probably isn't a game someone who didn't play it in their childhood could pick up today and enjoy, but I still love it, even if I still haven't beaten the goddamn final boss... .__. *twitch*

Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Heartbreak: Shut up shut up shut up shut up shut up, it's cute and honestly a fun game, okay? It's something I can always pick up and play, and still have a good time. :C

Beyond Good and Evil: One of the greatest games I've ever played, and if I was religious I'd be praying for the sequel to be released.

Jet Set Radio Future: Awesome game with a crazy storyline and wacky graphics. Fun to play with friends, and the music is fucking amazing.

Knights of the Old Republic: Anybody who's heard of video games in the last few years knows what KOTOR is and has probably played it and loved it. With one of the greatest WTF moments in recent gaming history, it's a must play, even if you hate ex bawks gaemz.

You also get those in YOUR FACE.

Yeah, Fusion and the original are the only ones I've played. I've got my eyes set on the Virtual Console Super Metroid. So, until I can judge them all bettter, Fusion is my favorite, so there.
