Hmm... It's kinda hard to decide, but...
1.
Brawl
Why? Because it's multiplayer and you get to kick eachother in the face, set others on fire, freeze 'em, hit them with a nice, sharp sword, or just... you know, push them off the edge? Not to mention Marth's grab/hit is a shot to the wee. Ike is evidently heavy, as his down throw shows. :awesome: Violence wins the heart of every preteen boy. Unless they were really effeminate or a hippie, or something. (Not that I'm a boy.)
2.
Odin Sphere
Again, another game where you kill stuff. However, the artwork is just awesome on the fully grown Leventhan, Darkova, and Belial, both alive and undead. There's also a unique way of boosting your health and "magic", either by eating food that you bought or grew, or visiting the Pooka kitchen with a few Ariel Coins and some food items that the helpful Pooka merchant has. Not to mention you can play as 5 different characters.
This guy explains it better than I can. PICTURES INCLUDED!
3.
Persona 3 FES
Why do I keep putting action games on the list? Yes, this is another one, also different. Instead of magic, you have a Persona that apparently grows stronger as you make friends within only
one year. The music and the storyline absolutely wins, but both characters seek the answer to life, which is-- Actually, I'm not telling you. Yes, you do play two characters, one you get to name and the other with a name already.
4.
Folklore
Yup, ANOTHER ONE! This isn't higher because I only played the demo version and I don't have a PS3. Graphics are AWESOME and I'm assuming by the name that all the Folk in the game are from different myths.
HOLYCRUDTHEBOOBRIE IS. Also, you aren't doing any of the fighting. Instead, you... I guess... summon Folk to fight for you. It also shows a sort of tug-of-war when you try to collect their Ids, which I guess are like souls. The Mind Charge gauge makes me think of a POW gauge, too. :awesome:
Yeah, that's all. There's
definitely more that I haven't said, but it's probably too subtle for me to notice, or I haven't got that far.
If Shadowtails is going to type an "I quit" message, at least try to use punctuation. IT HURTS. Oh, and you're not the first one. There's some who have never posted at all. If you can't see past the first layer, don't bother. It's all in good humor, I
think...
