"Impressive, Magus." The Queen said, looking Tatzel's werewolf form up and down. "That was a very nice trap you set. I am... impressed."


"Now..." She began, summoning a crystal ball before her.



"Shall we take a look at how the rest of your enemies are doing?"

An image began to appear in the crystal..





"OH!!"



She giggled sheepishly. "Pardon me... That was the wrong channel."


"Here we are..."




"Despite their internal struggles, They all seem to be approaching faster than you may have suspected, Magus. Although, i forsee that if you act quickly, you may have enough time for what you wish."



For a few minutes longer, The Queen of Oracles gazed inter her crystal ball, a strange, sad silence fallen over her.




Then she made it vanish again, and she turned to glance back at Magus Epona. There was a strange glint in her green, evil eyes. If she had a mouth, she'd probably have a sly smile on her face.



"My.. Dearest Magus..." She said, her usually contemptuous voice suddenly sweeter than sugar, practically dripping honey. She leaned close, near his shoulder.



"Won't you.. show me more of your magic spells? I do so love it when i see magic..." Her tone was flirtatious, persuasive. "And your magic does so impress me."

"Get away from me you harpie! I know what you're planning," Epona said grabbing her arms and pulling her in, "Don't think I don't see that greedy look in your eyes. The power of that stupid little prince isn't enough to satisfy you and you are looking for more." He squeezed his grip hoping to hurt her, "Don't think I won't try to kill you the moment you do something to make me mad. I don't care if you are the queen of who-whats-it or whatever, you are still less powerful than me! Now begone, I think I am ready to start the sacrifice..."

THe Queen gasped, her small, thin arms hurt by Epona's grip. Despite her powers, she was powerless against physical strength.

Spurned, the Queen stepped back, that phantom mouth visible again on her porcelain mask, but just barely, due to her now heated emotions.

"You know not of what you speak!!" She shouted, grabbing Epona's arms, sharp nails digging through his sleeve. "Even if i desired your powers, i forsee no way of me to steal them. The prince's golden light was to be enough!"

She growled, letting go with a snap, her nails claws for the briefest moment, tearing a small slit into the Magus' sleeve. "And to think i was going to try and have a good time with such a despicable man as you. I wish i didn't need your help!"

With that she turned and stormed away to the far side of the room, summoning her crystal ball yet again, to spy on Genosi, her fury contained. For now.



Secretly, when she felt no eyes on her, she let her crystal ball shift its sight back to where and when Sir Gigsalot had played his song of lost love, and the Queen found a kinship in his loneliness.

It watched the room. The skeleton was dead, and so was it's most recent body. This was but a small dilemma. In fact, the skeleton dying was exactly according to plan. It would have preferred that its most recent body survived, however, but that was but that was only a small annoyance. The jellyfish's body had been really convenient. It's red color caused people to think it was something of importance, something that could due all sorts of strange things on it's own.

It preferred to have the body of smaller, more simple minded creatures, like jellyfish and other such things, since it would have complete control over them, but it was okay with taking the body of a stronger minded creature. Its influence would not be be total; rather, it would be more of a suggestion. It would probably just shift to a lessor body once it had the chance. It could still have influence over the stronger minded creatures while inhabiting a smaller body, as it did with the skeleton, but a bit less so.

Conveniently, the Phantom had been foolish enough to think that it was the Shadow Council's doing that the jellyfish ceased having magical abilities. He had no idea of its presence.

It was probably best to wait until they all left for to put its plan into action. For now, it went into the mind of the dead skeleton, and waited, completely unnoticeable.

That's the nice thing about skeletons. It takes a lot of work to kill one for good.

Iconsting looked over at the skeleton lying in the corner. "Think we should cremate it? Or at least bury it?" He asked, feeling pity towards the poor bag of bones. He picked up the skull and studied it for a bit. "I think I'll take the head with me, he will make an excellent trophy. So shall we head off?" He continued as the doors to the clock tower swung open.
