My cousin and I have been watching Dune (1984). It's absolutely terrible. But every time Feyd (played by Sting, mind you) shows up this starts playing in my head.

Nobody is saying you can't have opinions.

You are all able to have an opinion.

As long as it matches mine.

I heard it was better after reading the book (which I have, along with the rest of the series), but it's still... eh. Patrick Stewart was awesome, as was Leto, but otherwise it took some really strange liberties from the actual novel. The editing was choppy and most of the acting was sub par.
There was no revelation about who Jessica's father was, which was a big plot point to understand how Paul could even become the Kwisatz Haderach. Jessica was also very obnoxious and whiny during several parts of the movie (yes, her Duke just died, but she managed to compose herself more in the novel) and made me wonder if she even was a Bene Gesserit. Also it rained on Arrakis. What the hell. Paul only had the power of prescience, not the actual power to control the climate/telepathy/etc. Yes, most movies based off a book are not exactly the same, but they made the plot nearly incomprehensible to anyone not familiar to the series.
Oh god, I figured you just didn't like the pixel shields or thought it was a stupid movie or something. Yeah, it wasn't fantastic, but it's still fremen riding sand worms. I had nothing to complain about.

I was surprised at the sandworms, actually. They depicted them pretty well.

Although I did lose at the shields, though.
