Besides, did you really expect an intelligent discussion outside of the Taboo Topics thread? On AZ?

No, but I did expect it to get past the
first freaking page without being derailed.

Maybe if there was an actual discussion beyond "the president's doing something on the internet guys' then I wouldn't derail it.
That is an absolutely childish mentality. "I don't like this discussion, so I'm going to actively try to derail it"? Christ man, how old are you?

There really isn't much to discuss about this other than "uh huh" or "bad idea" or "cool".
There is if you put some actual effort into thinking. Just because you are a teenager doesn't mean that you have to think and respond like one. If you truly do think that there is no further discussion beyond one or two words, then you think on a very shallow level. This is an opportunity to talk about how technology influences the way that we interact with politics in the twentieth century, or if you believe that this president is more or less technologically savvy than his predecessor, even discussing whether or not you think that one voice on the internet that is heard can make a difference. If you look at that story and all you think is "COOL STORY BRO", then fine, you're entitled to think that you want; I'm not going to stop you. But this isn't a matter of opinion, this is a matter of people taking somebody else's topic and turning it towards their own self-interest. You can say that I'm making a mountain out of a molehill, and that very well might be true, but what I'm angry about, above all else, is the severe ADD that this forum seems to have. Every new topic is derailed almost immediately, and it's about time this shit stopped. I'm sick of looking at new topics and only seeing dumb asinine banter that has NOTHING to do with the topic, or even worse, nothing but eighty different variations of "You're dumb", "This topic sucks", and "INB4LOCKLOL". You want to dissent, fine, but you don't need to follow the mob mentality and say the exact same thing thing that
four other people have said already.
Good lord, it feels like the whole world's gone mad and I'm the only sane one left.
