my bud has one of those programs which allows you to make your own rock band songs, and he asked me to come up with a list of songs i think he should make. so far i have:
super orgy porno party-planet smashers
sultans of swing-Dire straits
time warp- rocky horror picture show
he asked for a couple, so i'm gonna need a few more. Any suggestions?

A good Rock Band version I mean...and oddly, could you try the "Gourmet Race" from Brawl? Heavy metal and Kirby together...is strangely awesome. Still. Dunno why.

Fix'd.

Iced Earth in a nutshell. (I also dare you to find me a shittier ballad)

Rock Band needs more good punk, so yeah, Hüsker Dü is a hot candidate - "Zen Arcade" blows away any and all of the metal albums you kids like these days. "Turn on the News" would be the most obvious choice, one of the greatest and best-paced songs ever written, even if they never had any widespread popular success it's still nice to see that song found its place as one of the best 500 songs that shaped rock.

More random great songs:

Bad Brains - Banned in DC
Bob Dylan - Hurricane (needs violin periphery, sold separately)
Christian Death - Romeo's Distress
Danzig - Twist of Cain
Descendets - Marriage
The Doors - Break on Through
Emperor - Thus Spoke the Nightspirit
Fugazi - Waiting Room
The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Crosstown Traffic
Kreator - Death is Your Savior
mewithoutYou - Wolf Am I! (And Shadow)
Operation Ivy - Caution
Rites of Spring - By Design
Stiff Little Fingers - Barbed Wire Love
X - The Have Nots

Oh God yes. I'd rock the mike so hard on that.

Also, I've come to the conclusion that any song from The Fratellis first album would work well for Rock Band. They mostly all have interesting basslines, which is a sure reason to include a song, since the bassist always gets the easy part. So, either Chelsea Dagger or Flathead by The Fratellis. Yes.

Listen to real pop punk like Adolescents, Descendents or Agent Orange - seriously, NOFX sucks.

The Rick Astley thing would be quite funny if you could use the version LFG comics made. With Richard on vocals. (Funny comic, very story based)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=piW2RVZR7q4

It would be quite strange, and would surprise most people.
