1: He hadn't appeared yet
2: He actually looks demented compared to the regular humans in the game
3: In Brawl, he's quick and good with a blade, which is what Luigi said he must be
In fact, myself, I thought he was going to be the abandoned child of adult Link.

So yeah, sorta a let-down that he only really appeared in one drawing in the corner of a photo.

Actually I was assuming it was going to be some kind of faked death scenario, most likely with Mewtwo (oh shut up this isn't a spoiler it's told he dies almost immediately) being the killer, or the joint efforts of all the characters that were cut for Brawl. But I guess the "pun" is funnier that they were cut from Brawl and had their organs cut out too.
