I think that the group going to the Narwhal is pretty funny.

Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh. Torizo I really love your art, it's so....expressive. And everything is always so curly and fluent, it's like calligraphy in picture form. You guys should just be mad proud of this thread.

(SRS UPDATE IS SRS)

Image

Crimson Phantom plummeted very fast.

He hit the ground very hard too.

Image

Inside the clocktower, his impact shook one very important key out of place.

Image

It plummeted down into the very core of the Clocktower, landing in the power cell that ran the city.

Image

Sensing danger, the key protected itself with magical energy to protect itself from destruction in the core. Unfortunately, the core drew off as much power as the key could put out.

Image

Across the city, factories began working harder and harder, pouring out more and more smog. The Clocktower itself shot out great plumes of ash, knocking anyone inside out the windows.

Image

"The core is working too hard," Phantom said. "Everything in the city is working at 100 times the usual."

"That's a good thing, right?"

"It is not a good thing, it is very far from a good thing. It is in fact a very bad thing," Phantom said. "100 times more work means 100 times more pollution."

"If we don't get the key out of the core this entire city will be buried alive."

After nightfall, while they gathered 'round the fire, two strangers arrived.

Quote:
Hello, good gentlemen! You seem to be of the interesting type, now what are you doing in mountains like these?

While initially shocked, Peter recovered and told him, deciding it would be best to leave out details of Torizo's capture, since these people might happen to be their enemies.

Quote:
We are seeking out dragon's cave. Though I must say, we haven't found a trace of it since we started.

The stranger seemed pleased by this, and continued.

Quote:
Well, as it so happens, my friend here knows his way around here quite well, and we are willing to guide you through free of charge. It is our duty to help those in need, else my name isn't Sir Gigsalot!

Peter glanced towards Squigzog and Deiotheus, all three wondering if these odd characters could be trusted.

Quote:
And why would you be so interested in helping us out? What do you get out of this?

This surprised the knight, but after a moment of thought, he answered.

Quote:
You, no doubt, came from the ball at Lady Torizo's castle, did you not?

The other three nodded in affirmation. And with a pleasant smile on his face, Sir Gigsalot continued.

Quote:
Well, being the honorable knight I am, I could never show up uninvited, but if I were to come after assisting you, I could have the pleasure of running into an old friend of mine...

UGH. I had to redo half of this thing after my computer crashed, and got lazy towards the end.

@My group: Tell me if there's anything I need to change about your appearances for the next time I update.

@Trygve: I don't know if you've planned out a story, so I only made a minimal background on your part. I hope I didn't mess anything up.

Thanks guys, and now that Dei has mentioned the children's book thing...I can sorta see it. That's okay though, I actually want to be the author and illustrator of kid's books.
