I didn't think it was actually being attracted to animals, just being attracted to people that happen to have more feral qualities. I mean upstanding members of society don't want to have sex with normal animals.

I think a upstanding member of society has the desire to be covered in fur and have more animal qualities.

When I was ten I designed a character that was half-cat, half-girl. I never really used her, but I think my old drawing might be in my archives somewhere.

Now days, though...I really prefer drawing more realistic animals. Not upstanding members of society.

Speaking of upstanding members of society, does anyone remember Furcadia? This girl in my middle school made me sign up for it once. It's basically a world of upstanding members of society where people can make their own adventures using 'dragon speak'.
I let my account expire because I got bored with it, and that was the last time I had a 'upstanding member of society' persona.

It's just, it seems to me that while there are plenty of people willing to accept gays for who they are, there's almost no one who understands what it means to be a upstanding member of society, and don't bother to try and figure out why they are the way they are, and just assume they're all a bunch of sick weirdos, even though they could just be normal people with a different sexual attraction.

That's how I view gays and upstanding members of society, normal people, but are sexual attracted to something that isn't the opposite sex (or not covered in fur).

If that's not the case, I'm sorry, but from what I've seen and learned about over the years, that's just how I see it. Anyway, I'm sorry if I offended you with that statement. I know gays are having a really rough time, and I didn't mean to make it look like they have it easy, they don't. I was just trying help everyone understand the similarity I see between the two.

Well I think the worth kind of bashing upstanding members of society suffered was e-segregation, not being beaten to death, declared illegal/sinful and all that jazz.
