I have been compiling results with Pit using his Down B, the Mirror Shield.
The effect of it is that it reflects projectiles, and that if attacks land on it the damage goes back to the attacker. Here are the list of bosses it has good effect on:
Rayquaza
When Rayquaza goes underground and attacks from beneath, you are IMMUNE. You just slip to the side and Ray takes all the damage - AS LONG AS YOU FACE THE DIRECTION IT CAME FROM.
The Lightening Ball is also very easily deflected, but it's just a deflectable projectile.
Tail Whip, you are pushed back with no damage and our friend takes the brunt
Lunge Attack - When Rayquaza lunges to the other side of the screen, you are immune AS LONG AS YOU ARE NOT DIRECTLY IN THE MIDDLE. Keep a distance.
Side Attack - When it flies along the screen, it flies over you. You're too low to get hit.
Red Eyes Attack - It creates an explosion near you. You're -immune- to it. It just pushes you back slightly.
Duon - Gun
Lazer - The purple one, NOT blue. The blue ones are undeflectable. The purple lazers are absorbed by the shield and the damage goes to Duon; alternatively Pit's Side B is also a projectile deflecting move, so if you want to send those missiles right back you can use the Angel Ring. It has a far greater area of deflection, and so is a better choice. The Angel Ring is better when you use it right next to Duon's cannon.
Duon - Sword
The sword side is easily reflected. Basically, most of the attacks, except the head-blade attack. That is a massive attack, and if you are on the edge of it, will cause some awesome damage, but it's safer to just stay back and fire arrows against the sword side.
Meta Ridley
Small and Medium fire balls - These are deflectable, easily. The medium ones are fired when he latches onto the ship and pulls it down; the small ones are when he just fires them up and down the ship. A word of warning, however, that the small ones can go over the shield, and it is a better choice to use Pit's Side B directly in front of its mouth.
Ridley
When Ridley backs away and flies across the screen, the shield deflects that too. Surprising, no? Almost as surprising as that it also stops a lot of Ridley's attacks, bearing in mind you are near the edge of the stage when they are ending up. Flying in from the back seems to deflect about half of the time; Ridley will always take damage but sometimes Pit will as well. It's best to dodge that as normal.
Crazy Hand
Poke, Slams, All flying-in-from-behind attacks, you're good to go. Just hold Down B and you'll be fine. As a note, the Lazer is also deflectable, it's just that neither take damage, and you are pushed back quite a bit. Good for escaping if you are stuck in the middle.
Master Hand
Master hand is mostly the same as crazy hand. The walking attack, where he uses the two fingers, will NOT deflect the 2nd hit, so be careful. Fly off the stage when he uses this. The sweeping attack, single-sweep, is deflectable, but the triple-sweep is not. The gun attack is obviously deflectable, and will only deflect one shot unless you use Side B.
Petey Pirhana
You can't deflect ANYTHING on the ground. Your best bet is to get him to the edge of the stage, and attack from the edge. Whenever he uses his jump move, fly under one of the cages and hold the shield in midair, or on the ground. If you're on the ground, you'll be pushed off by knockback (no damage) but in the air, you're perfectly solid. It's possible to go this entire thing with 0% at all, as long as you are constantly off the stage to attack the cage.
Porky
Surprisingly, his jump attack is deflectable, as long as you face the direction he's jumped from, same as a lot of attacks for other bosses. The needle jab, unfortunately, is not deflectable, only a few will be stopped and you will be pulled in by the rest. The robots are also unstoppable, because they explode on you, and not on the shield. However, his charge attack is stoppable to an extent where it threatens to push you off the side, at which point a preferrable strategy is to just avoid it. Porky is very difficult to do, but the mirror shield is offensive at the very start of when you use it, much like Fox's deflector, and is quite decent damage, so throw it in for some quick combos.
Galleom
For Galleom, his single-hop attack is mirror shieldable, the quadruple hop is NOT. A lot of his attacks - his body slam, foot stomp, and ground punch (both sides) are all fine to mirror shield. The only ones that you can't shield is the one where he sends out a massive shockwave, and the missiles in normal form.
The tank form is relatively easy; if it charges, shield it, if it shoots missiles, stand next to it. Piece of cake. You can't deflect any of his missiles, so don't try - I did, with the Side B, and I got blown to shreds. It also helps to know that the mirror shield won't deflect it either, only nullify the damage. Just stand next to the tank when he does this.
The Final Boss
He's a dick and everybody hates him. What we can do, however, is learn his moves beforehand by getting up to him on Easy and just surviving. Learn everything he can do, and learn to dodge his wing attack - THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING. If you can't dodge the wing attack, it's instant-kill on Intense. It really does help to know how to dodge it (Hold shield underneath him and press Down every time you see a ring coming your way)
Most of his moves are easily avoidable because Pit has EVERY JUMP IN THE WORLD to keep away from them. He can jump 3 times in the air, and fly for 4 seconds with his Up B, bearing in mind that the amount of time decreases the more frequently you use it. It recharges like ROB's Up B, though.
For the love of god, DODGE HIS WING ATTACK! I've gotten up to him twice, and because I'm too stupid to practice dodging beforehand I got killed both times. I just suck at avoiding it, but YOU MIGHT NOT BE.
Information on the Mirror Shield move
1) The effectiveness of the shield relies on your percentage. Take for example Master Hand's attack. He forms a plane shape with his fingers and flies in from the back. Now, normally you can avoid this by aiming the shield to the right of the stage and holding it down; but on percentages higher than around 90, you will take a hit. This really really does count.
2) It only absorbs so many attacks. This really does matter; Against the likes of Porky and his jabbing attack you'll only negate 3 to 4 hits before the rest land.
3) The effectiveness decreases the more you use it. Ah, the nerf. If you use an attack too much, the damage will decrease. The same goes for the Mirror Shield, as what you reflect will reduce in damage. That isn't to say you shouldn't use it, but that is to say that whenever you go to the waiting room, spam some smashes and aerial moves before moving on to recharge the shield.
Please, if you have any information to contribute, DO SO. It is in everybody's best interest that we make it through Boss Battles unscathed!
This will be kept updated with any new information that arises. Please do your best to report any findings! I will personally check any information before I add it to this post.
Thankyou for your time, and I wish everybody luck on this.
(Note that I haven't defeated Boss Battles on intense yet; but I wish to make the ride as easy as possible for those who are struggling)
