How does Skies of Arcadia compare to Rogue Galaxy? People have said its Space Pirates instead of Sky pirates.

I like how Vyse and Aika have a cameo appearance in the game "Valkyria Chronicles", you can use them as units there. In their descriptions might be a hidden hint that more characters of Skies of Arcadia could have a cameo there.
Aika is the unit who gets shot down the most often, and I always go save her with Vyse.

You know, I've been wondering myself. I've been tempted to get Rogue Galaxy on several occasions but I'm too lazy. Although I've heard it's basically a SoA clone.

Eh, Rogue Galaxy is worth renting, but that's about it. The gameplay is fun and the characters are entertaining, but the storyline is really cliche and the ending made me raeg [spoiler]not because of what happened (well, yes, kind of, because it was very predictable) but because you get A TEXT ENDING. WHAT. SERIOUSLY?[/spoiler] In summation it was the game that made me break out of the RPG mold and play a wider variety of genres.

Its Level 5, not some small time JRPG company, so I doubt its a straight clone that does nothing for itself.

daisies my policy of not investing JRPG lengths of time into retro games. Now I want to play it as well when I get my Dreamcast. I wonder how much it is.

Maybe I should see if Gametraders can ship their copies here.

I have wanted to play this for so long but I could never find a copy. And all the copies are like $60.
