still waiting on a reference for my person as to what they like.

Only one person said they were good without any kind of reference at all.

We had 36 people sign up, and then Loli and Namimaru asked if they could participate like right after sign up closed, so that makes 38.

I sent out the 36 notes without confusing myself, but as I was keeping track of who had replied to the note, garanteeing they were participating, and those who had not, I made the mistake of already starting to try to create a list of those who wanted a reference and those who didn't.

If I had more time, I probably would have given it another day for everyone to respond before I got around to taking care of gathering references. Since pretty much EVERYONE wanted one though, and I knew some people had to leave to spend time with family/friends for the holidays, I tried to keep track of who was participating and who had gotten the reference they needed at the same time.

I ended up getting really confused, and then I had to get off the computer before I found a way to fix it. Dark offered to help me out instead of getting a headache and he simply proposed everyone sending in references, to which he would distribute them.

So if you haven't sent in reference, do it. Out of the 38 people involved, 37 people WANT reference. Because of my shitty organization, neither Dark nor I knows how many people had already received reference before he took over. And as he has said MANY people still haven't sent in reference.

At this point, I can garantee it's not safe to assume your secret santa doesn't need reference - unless you have ALREADY SENT IT IN TO DARK, you still have to send in reference, or a list of likes.

Do not post it in this thread. He's keeping track of who has sent their's in and who hasn't by pms. So if you haven't sent him a pm, he doesn't know you've sent in any reference at all. And as said, it's NOT safe to assume you are the person who has the one secret santa that is cool without a reference. Send 'em in - your secret santa might not do it at all without it.

It's alright, guys. I just feel really bad for all this confusion. If I had come up with a better system of keeping track, all this could've been avoided.

Dark is going through the pms right now, while I go through the list and triple check who has gotten all the reference they need, and who still hasn't sent it in.

Before I posted, I think we had only 16 people that were completely ready to go. Didn't need/had gotten any ref they needed and were starting their gift. Since I posted though, Dark said he suddenly got a lot more. So after I'm done triple checking the list, he will look it over, update it even more, and then I will check yet again before posting it.

We are working really hard to avoid any extra confusion. Not demanding everyone send in refs from the beginning and instead asking for them was a mistake - it is now obvious things would have gone a lot easier if I simply asked for people to send me their own references or a list of their likes once they got the name of their receiver.

So I just remembered that my parents got a scanner, so I might deliver my gift in time. But I wouldn't fully built on that, since christmas eve will probably go on until late night again, and next day it's even more eating at my grandmas house. I try to have it done before I drive there, to whom should I sent it? Dark or Star?

I manged to get my ref list and have now started, so thank you.

1. When we're finished, do we send it to either Dark, Star or the person who it's for?

2. When is it in for please?

Either one of us. I work Sat and Sun this week end, but unless something comes up, I will have time to check my PM inbox. But if you'd rather send it to Dark, he says he can take it as well. So whatever way is more comfortable for you is good.

1. Send it to the person the gift is for. I'd suggest a PM to garantee they will see it, but you could also post it here for extra insurance, or incase you're worried they'll check the thread and not their PMs.

2. The earliest to give it to them is the 22nd. At the latest, the 2nd of January.

I don't really know that I should because I don't really like anything. A PM saying "Just tell them to do whatever" would be kind of a waste.

If someone said "just do whatever" to me they'd end up with a picture of my character.
